are there PAINTED Britains indian rhinos?
all i see (in pictures) is the monochrome gray one with black painted eyes (at the most). please post photos and infos. tia. :)

Here's mine. It seems to have a tiny bit more paint than Christophe's (on the toes and horn maybe; just like Susanne's).

here's mine. (so i guess the paint job on the Britains indian rhino is minimal.)

The paint job on nearly every BRITAINS animals is minimal But the sculpt job is so fine (o)):

yes indeed the sculpt is very superior, even better than some modern made figures.

Here is mine, I was surprised with the sculpting quality, mainly when I compared it with the Schleich Indian rhino, I received both in a short periode and the difference in quality in terms of sculpting is bizarre. It is as good as new from Safari and better than many Indian rhinos from best reputed vintage brands.

I have has a number of these rhinos and some have no paint at all on them and some have only minimal paint on them as evident by the pictures.The 2 I have for trade at present in that section are one of each!

yes the Britains Indian rhinos were origionally painted back in the 70's but the paint wears off quickly!

There are sauriod. It depends on the time they were produced. Early Britains Indian rhinos were painted on their underside and had their “nails and horn painted. Later issues just had the eyes painted in. One way to try and reduce costs in the light of horrific copying from Hong Kong manufacturers. The price of a Britains rhino could buy a miniature zoo from Hong Kong!

I probably had hundreds of Britains animals as a child. I can say that all the early Indian Rhinos from the 1970's had a grey wash on the shoulders and hind quarters. The ones from the late 1970's and early 1980's where unpainted apart from the eyes and nails.
