First model horse show ever held in Russia

Well, this Sunday we are having our first model horse show ever held in Russia. The funny thing is that it was my employer, who offered help to arrange it.
We had lots of argue while prepairing things (as our points of view always differ- she doesn't understand collectors:lol:), I had to rewrite the rules several times (and nontheless they still remain the same:P) and I've spent hours reading the NAMHSA website and many other resources for any useful information.
The problem is that none of us  has ever taken part in such activities, and all the info I can get about it comes from the Internet, foreign friends and so on. But no experience of our own. I've found lots of mistakes already, and I think that while the show runs even more or them will apear.

Anyway, I feel so exited about it:face:

I hope we'll be able to organize a live show in Poland in not so distant future, that's one of my dreams. But for now there are too few of us.

Our first model horse show has passed, but I'm still too busy with my work to share the photos:(

I cannot say that I;m pleased with what it turned out to be (for many reasons), but anyway that was a useful experience. Many interesting projects have been shown, and what is more- lots of people were attracted. That is good:) The bad thing is that when you work over such events with those who know nothing about it, and not really interesting in it- it at all turns out to be a mess. Some things can't be helped...

I believe we'll try to make some more shows in our country on our own, without asking (or even accepting) the help of our local authorities. At least now.

Hmm... I have never been to one of these shows. How do they work? Do people bring along there collections? Do they get judged? Is it a show for the manufacturers of the models? Or do people bring along customs?

Although I know nothing about these things, well done Daria for giving it a go and organizing one!!

Sorry to hear it didn't turn out quite how you wanted it to Daria - the horses shown look beautiful though. It's good that lots of people came, at least you know it will be well supported if you do another show.

I have the same questions :) Those shows are a mystery to me.

And well, with your show, all beginning is a challenge I guess :)

But as you said, you got yourself some experience, - and perhaps you have forund some, who will be willing to help you better next time ?

I want to congratulate you for starting this project, though ! Well done  

Perhaps when some time has passed, you will look back at the ( undoubtedly ) bright sides, take a good laugh at the most messy incidents, ---and try again next year
