| I love hyenas and everyone’s collections are so amazing! Looking through the thread the only one I don’t recognize is one from Caracal’s collection, it’s the little white one second row from the foreground all the way to the right, do you know who that ones maker is [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ? I love all your repaints btw

I love all your repaints btw Mitsukuni, this white hyena is a copy of the brown one which is just on its left. This latter seems from the same mold as the "Clairet" one, but its ears are low and it's a little lighter (because it's of polystyren rather than acetate). Unfortunatly, it's not marqued, but it's clearly a copy of "Clairet" brand.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]..here you can see the difference between the Clairet one, on the left, and this mysterious "copy".. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]* ..and here, this mysterious hyena with bazar monochrom copies: copies of copies! :) |

| Wow that’s so weird and interesting:D I remember thinking it really reminded me of the clairet hyena but I thought it couldn’t be a copy because of the different ears but you are definitely right, seeing them right next to each other it’s definitely a recast. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a copier go to the trouble of changing an aspect of a figure, it sort of makes me even more interested in the figure even though it’s a copyXD Thank you for the info!:) [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] here’s a striped one :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| A truely heartwarming collection of hyena models Me too, I love that clairet model , - it was made both with spots and with stripes About the Starlux beauty, - isn't mine a darker grey ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Or is it just the eternal problem of getting the right shade on a photo |

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I find the Clairet hyenas very charming, especially in real life, definitely recommend them for a hyena collector:D [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] thank you Andreas! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I’m glad you like it:D I like him too, though I will probably be replacing mine at some point because mine is missing his tail:( [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] thank you so much! We all seem to agree there’s something special about the Clairet hyena:D I hope to get the spotted one soon:) I’ve also seen some without spots or stripes almost indicative of a brown hyena maybe Yes yours is definitely darker Susanne, while I was hunting for mine I came across a wide range of color and even stripe variations Here is one with very dark plastic and normal stripes [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here’s one with darker plastic, two rows of stripes and an almost ombré effect going on [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I was really shocked to see that pretty much no two were alike really, I think it makes them very unique:D Btw I really like yours Susanne:D |
