They are very neat, and they look all very promising  cheers I also find it interesting, that you work on several models at the same time. That is cool  Very Happy

Thank you for your very nice comments. I work on multiple animals at once so I do not become bored with any one particular sculpture. As for my przewalski, I will probably start it when I finish the lion.

Here's my tapir:

Nice tapir, I see it has already a good shape, surely you'll carve it more and reduce mainly trunk and lower legs thickness. Very Happy

Thank you, Roger, for the tips. I don't think the torso needs carving down, or do you mean 'trunk' as in proboscis? Regardless, I still need to make the legs thinner.
Anyway, here's my camel, although its not nearly Hump Day yet...

I think I need to extend the legs on this one, I don't want to repeat the mistake I made with my reindeer.

Okay, that makes sense. I like how English is like that, with so many things meaning different things and the same and whatnot. It can be fun sometimes.  geek

Once finished with my tapir, I'll start a bongo. I am also planning on doing an elephant next month. Does anyone have any helpful information about male indian elephant anatomy? I want him to be the centerpiece and finale of this round of my custom models. Thanks.

Great to see the tortoise and the bear painted - they look great!
I'm impressed that you can keep so many projects going at one time.
I'm especially glad to see the spectacled bear. I love bears, and I think that's one species that is under-represented in model form. You did great job with it!

Thank you all.  Very Happy The bear is actually my least favorite of the bunch... but I guess I can do away with that insecurity now. I made the spectacled bear, as those are the ones I saw in the National Zoo last year. They were really fun to watch, especially with the new cubs. Kikimalou, I should have some pictures on the way.

Alternate pictures as promised:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Sorry it took so long. I've been busy, and not because I was making models Sad
Also, here's my male bison. I think he's too beefy (pun intended). What do you think?
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I took the picture as to show the animal's width.
Also, does anyone have good measurements to go off of for the head-body length of an Indian elephant? I'm not quite sure about the sizes I've gotten from various sources.  elephant

It's so great to see those again. I really like the bear Applause  good job on it!

Hmm I think the bison is too beefy like u said. What if he wants to slim down a little bit? Wink
