Schleich - Old france Dealer catalogue from 1990-1991

Hello,

i want to show to all interested collectors, copies of my old france dealer catalogue with old schleich animals and figures.
The catalogue is from 1990/1991.

I want to say with this surprise many thanks to all members of STS.
I´m happy to be a member of this forum and are pleased to have such many new friends worldwide.

Fantastic, I can`t stop looking !
Look at the way the animals were crammed into boxes for sale
It looks as if they didn`t have tags on them then
Also I have never seen a moose like that with white tips on the antlers.

thanks for posting these. It's interesting to see some of these pictures. didnt realise some of those models continued to be made well into the early 2000's!

I dont like the old figures at all as they are too cute but I do remember being bought some back in 1990 by family and I remember throwing them away when i was a late teen!

What I find funny is how all the models in the catalogue look second hand or used. They look like they have been taken from a flea market then pictured in the catalogues! Today catalogues show brand new mint condition models....

Great to reminisce about the past and see how Schleich have improved!

with assortment 27706 I am surprised to see a baby seal that looks just like one I got on ebay.com last month but it is AAA.

But did you know, that we have a special part on the forum, to show scanned catalogues?
This way we can find things back easier...

You seal-pup is AAA indeed Sue, but was sold by Schleich under license in those days, and it is to be found in the Gaschers Schleich catalogue too.
So AAA made these models specially for Schleich back then, but were still marked as AAA.

It was sold by Schleich in 91 - 92 and has Schleich item no 16028, classified as classics .

I made the same mistake when I bought the first of those sea animals , complained to the seller, who fortunately did not get mad at me

So are you saying that this seal pup was sold with a Schleich stamp on the underside or that it was sold by AAA with AAA stamp as a Schleich figure? I am confused.

So, are there seal pups like this out there with the Schleich stamp on it?

No, those sealife figueres all had the AAA-stamp, not Schleich. They weren`t so particular about it then, those made by Safai have safari-stamp.
But maybe one of the experts can explain better than I can ?

Schleich did sell some series in those days, that were made by other manufacturers.
Some lines by AAA China, other lines by Safari Ltd USA.
There was always the name of the real manufacturer under those figurines, never Schleich...
But you need to have the older catalogues, or the Gaschers catalogue, to see what was sold by Schleich under their name...

does anybody know if there were annual catalogues in 1990 and 1991?
or did they issue only 1 then for both years together, containing the models of 1990 and those that were going to be released in 1991 with the yellow flag with 91 in it?
or does this mean that this catalogue is of 1991, and the yellow flag 91 simply means "new"?
