SpiralStrix Repaints

Uh...so I meant to post this a month ago. Oops  

When I joined the custom animal figure swap, I decided to practice before attempting the actual swap repaints. I had a bunch of these red-footed boobies that I have been transforming into different species. These were excellent test-subjects for me. Simple, inexpensive, and yay for the Suliformes!

For my first personal repaint, I chose to paint a brown booby! This allowed me to test a few colors that I was using on the swap figures. Plus, I think these birds are really cool.

There are certainly flaws and the face needs some adjustment, but I had so much fun painting her. I didn’t really know what I was doing. I am not a painter.  I’ve learned some things for next time. I think I will stick to these simple patterns for a while, but I may try a little more detail on the next birds.
