Yowie USA Series 4

I thought this upcoming Yowie series deserved its own topic! The series is called 'USA Series 4' on the Yowie World website, and they are a 'proud supporter of the Wildlife Conservation Society'. You can find the series here. Besides six Yowie characters (Rumble, Crag, Boof, Ditty, Nap and Squish), these new animal figurines will be released:

My oh my, a fossa And lots and lots of other nice species! I think Yowies did it again; enough news to collect for most collectors here on STS

I agree with Andreas that they are a bit toyish. I think it is the eyes and the latge heads, - but, WOW ! There are some gorgeous , new species among them

True! But I think the Yowie fossa will be easier to acquire than the K&M one

True! But I think the Yowie fossa will be easier to acquire than the K&M one

Between these and the large-headed lion from the Rescue Series, Yowie does not seem to be very good at cats. Some of the others are very nice, though!

That's another series with a lot of interesting and unusual species. I am also very happy with the fossa and some other species. Some are new in toy shape, I am almost sure, I even didn't know a few of these species. I already listed them on TAI... so please let's start collecting them.

So many lovely new rare species! Very exciting, I can't wait to see them in stores.

The quality of specific models is probably both related to the sculptor's talent level (just like in large brands) and also the fact that many of these are very small figures, some only the size of a coin. Eyes would be hard to paint on something that small in mass quantities.

Of this selection, the only ones that I’m seriously interested in are the tortoise, toad and cuckoo. A nitpick to note about the cuckoo is that it looks more like a Bornean Ground Cuckoo than a Sumatran Ground Cuckoo (although this is easily ignored by thinking of it as the former). Apart from that. I have no issues with them (I’m not going to say that they are toyish because that’s a given with Yowie figures).

What good news I still haven´t some of the third series in my collection and now I need even more US Yowies. For me, the White-Lipped Peccary, Burmese Star Tortoise, Kipunji Monkey, Guanaco, Irrawaddy Dolphin, Kihansi Spray Toad and the Sumatran Ground Cuckoo are really must haves :)

Fossa, snow leopard and most of all the Irrawaddy dolphin are must haves for me!

Great geographic and taxonomic diversity, but still no arthropods/invertebrates. Interesting considering the Australian sets have on average 5 per set (of 50). I know these newer sets tend to focus on endangered species and very few inverts are protected so that could be why.

I think I will need that fossa. No fish this time I see (I don't count the shark...)

I think they suffer a bit from the same 'endangered' thing, although there are several that are well known and notable, in Australia alone!

I saw that Fossa on eBay months ago from MonsterHouse. Finally confirmed that it is indeed a Yowie! I was curious about it for months.

Anyone find these in stores yet? I noticed Target is also now carrying series 3 in the US - I assume they'll have series 4 soon.

I found some Yowies at Walgreens today. I ended up with three kipunji monkeys...


...and an IRRAWADDY DOLPHIN!!!
