Papo Cougar 50189 repaint

My second one. I think I'm getting the hang of shading and texturing. Having a model that has textured fur helps heaps.

Thanks everyone! The funny thing is, after burning my eyes out repainting the jaguar (not to mention, seeing spots for days! LOL!) I decided to repaint something simple, without any spots or stripes... So I thougt! HA! Blending all that fur into each other was a fun challenge on its own.

Now you need to repaint a reticulated giraffe and later a grevy's zebra.

That will be the death of my poor ageing eyes! Truth is, my next subject is a king cheetah... Blotches, lines and spots! Fun!

Do you use oil paintings or acrylics?

Beautiful painting! The original is not bad but you really transformed it- especially the facial details, the extra white, the gray on the head and lower legs, and the shading on the tail bring it to life.  My Safari model is still cross-eyed and waiting for paint...

Thanks Valeriia and Andy.  I mostly use Vallejo acrylics, but occasionally will throw in some Liquitex, depending on the colours I need.
