The two AAA crabs here are not edible crabs, but rather dungeness crabs: https://toyanimal.info/wiki/Edible_crab

these three are listed under Astacidea with lobsters and crayfish, but actually represent spiny lobsters:

https://toyanimal.info/wiki/File:Innovativekids_seasplash_lobster.jpg

The 'unidentified Achelata' here is Ibacus ciliatus.

Thanks for your remarks and for checking these more obscure parts of the wiki.
I have fixed everything according with your sents.
I confess I could easily notice that those are spiny lobsters but I didn't, there is always so many things to do on TAW that it is hard to get everything. About the crabs I had no idea although I have the feeling they were originally identifyied like that and later changed.

I just received this Eikoh figure, and it should be listed as a crow--the tag (in Japanese) says crow.

https://toyanimal.info/wiki/File:Eikoh75390Raven.JPG

The tail shape (straight fan) and beak (straight, no curve) are also crow hallmarks.

specifically, I believe when it was released, it was marketed as the jungle crow, Corvus macrorhynchos (I remember widukind inquiring about it)

Now that I've seen the specific species, that looks right.

No matter what, not a raven.

Thanks, I have moved it to Large-billed crow, which is a jungle crow.
Rogério, I don't know how to delete the original pages, would you be able to remove them?

Another question I have: The Safari Pelagic fish toob has a sardines figure: https://toyanimal.info/wiki/Safari_TOOB_100265_Pelagic_fish_Sardines I don't know under which species to list it. Probably pilchards, but I don't know which.

Very complete work you did, you even renamed the name of the image file, that is something that I don't use to do although it is more correct as you did. When you rename/move a page, you can uncheck an option that creates a redirect page. If you uncheck it, the original page desapears. Try to see next time if you have this option once my editing tools are somewhat different.
Thanks also Sean for pointing the crow mistake. Wink

I don't see this (but I may be blind). I can only uncheck "Watch source page and target page".

they were not marketed at the species level, but the European pilchard is the safest bet :)

Thanks, that was an easy fix, we only have to edit the polar bear page and replace the wrong file name for the correct one.
Out of curiousity, was the adulte ever marketed as a female? I believe it is once it has a cub and the conformation is more correct for a female, however I don't remember Schleich marketing it like that. scratch

Well, probably you don't have that option but don't worry because sometimes I delete useless redirect pages.
About the sardines I can't be of help. You can put it under a wider taxa level as unidentified or just follow Blaine's suggestion if you think it is the most adjusted.

Thanks, Blaine. Do you think they look more like the European than the South American pilchard? I don't know anything about them, but in photos I saw, the South American pilchard had spots like the Safaris, whereas the European didn't have spots.

As Rogério suggests, it may be best to list them as unidentified pilchards, but it seems like this needs a new page for Clupeidae, under which the South American and the unidentified pilchards are then listed. But my biology and my knowledge of families and orders are too poor, so I'd better not do this.

I can't remember; I might have picked the wrong one. Check Megaptera's collection thread, they are posted there with a good ID. I am OK keeping them generic.

Megaptera also says European, so that's probably what they are.

European pilchards also have spots. At least it is what we can read in some descriptions.
When a figure is generic we often put it under the page of the commonest species as long as there is no evidence that it is not. For instance, almost all hedgehogs are sold without a exact species mention and those are all listed as common hedgehogs once it is likely what they represent.
There is no thing as a common fox but the commonest is the red fox, so, when a figure is just marketed as fox we use to put it on red fox page.
As the European pilchard is also known as common sardine, I don't see anything wrong as it is listed like that.
Curiously, both figures listed on South American pilchard page are actually marketed as Japanese pilchards (Sardinops melanostictus) that I believe are now a full species although Wikipedia claims them as subspecies of South American pilchards (Sardinops sagax).
I will work on it. Wink

The Latin name of the Cuban crocodile is C. rhombifer, not C. johnsoni (the latter of which is for the Australian freshwater croc).

Thanks for pointing it. This kind of mistakes are not so unusual once we use the layout of an already made page to avoid rewriting all the needed code. Then, we change what needs to be changed and sometimes something from the previous page emains. So, it is easy to know where the editor who created that page based his work. Laughing
It is fixed now and it is quite easy to fix, it is as easy as replacing a word in a forum post.

I know what you mean. For nine years I managed the CDC's DPDx website and I periodically made these kinds of transcriptional errors :)

The PlayVisions kestrel https://toyanimal.info/wiki/Common_kestrel is listed as a Common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) while it's very clearly a male American kestrel (Falco sparverius)

I agree completely! cheers
I opened a new page species to it and fixed the identification. I only preserved the name common kestrel because I believe it is what is marked on the figure. In USA, it is probably not so wrong to call a common kestrel to an American kestrel once it is the commonest one in the country of Play Visions. Wink We have a new species! Laughing

I agree. I have the large AAA lobster (attached here) and it is clearly different![/quote]

I also agree, of course! Wink Thanks Pardo for pointing it up. I added Blaine's picture and opened a new page to the crayfish that is now as unidentified. If you ever find the correct species, just let me know. Some sections of AAA are needing a next round and that is one of them but I got tired with AAA just working some mammals! Laughing
