New Item of NTC - Yangtze (updated 2023.12.28)

Is there a consensus on which sculpt is the strongest, and which one is the weakest in this set?

Despite some great design work with some of the other species, for me it's difficult to argue with the strength/impact of the tiger.

It certainly far surpasses the rather lackluster Kaiyodo Wild Rush figure.

In other forums I've mentioned that I believe that the Kaiyodo 2019 Expo t-rex makes a stunning front and center display piece for a collection of that company's figures. This guy could function the same way for NTCs.

I was born in the year of the tiger, it means that if I am lucky, I am completing 4 cycles of 12 years. Thanks for keeping us informed about new releases, I hope 2022 is a great year for all collectors.

I like the Wild Rush tiger too. Not a spectacular pose, but well done nevertheless. I can't think of any Japanese-made tiger that is better.

Dunno if this means anything, but I'm certainly glad that the much anticipated set is still being worked on despite being a year late.

Another teaser! Seems like they're getting serious about producing this set finally...

According to the latest Twitter news, Yangtze will complete the feedback with the OEM factory this year and is expected to release it in 2024.

I edited thepost, Yangtze will complete the feedback with the factory this year and is expected to release it in 2024.

There is no mention of the place for sale on Twitter. But according to past sales practices, both China and Japan will be selling.

By the way, the pre-sale of Ocean I (Special Edition) is a good omen, indicating that Ikimon has restarted the generation of the base series.

I don't have NTC sets committed to memory like I do Kaiyodo sets but can you say what makes it a special edition? Is there a new figure possibly? Anything different?

In June 2008, Kitan released its first base series, Ocean 1, with all 8 types. All base series is here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

The special edition is not the first time it has appeared. The earliest special edition was Fish (Clear Streams In Japan), but in fact, the special edition is a simplified version, which selects a few original models and re releases them. Just like the Ocean I（special edition） released this time, there are only 6 species, which are 2 fewer animals than the original version.

I wasn't aware there were any previous re-releases. Especially glad to know about this one because I watch for these sets to get listed in Japan and consider buying them when the prices are low. Now I know to be wary of the possibility of them being released.

Also, if you hear anything more about the Yangtze set's availability in Japan, please let me know either here or via email. It is of course a big deal for my source and me.

My new figure source orders three months in advance from his wholesaler and confirms he will be selling the Ocean 1 re-release.

I'm hoping that's a good sign that the Yangtze set will also be available in Japan.

Yes! I also hope that this Yangtze set will be released soon (especially the Golden takin)...

I still remember it was planned to be released in the Summer of 2022 before it was delayed, but hopefully we will see it released soon.
