Repainted Schleich Snow Leopard, a surprise gift from Alain!

Yesterday I was surprised with something I was not expecting at all! A little box from Alain @Caracal arrived.
Inside two wonderful gifts that define perfectly who is Alain. A skilled painter, a Starlux passoned and most important, a very generous person!

The Schleich snow leopard was never in my cogitations, even if I am an assumed enthusiast about wild cats. The sculpt is not their best, gernerically, it looks a mould recycled from the very outdated 1995 Schleich leopard  with a updated texture and slightly repositioned parts.
Hind legs are really short, this animal could never make a 10 meters leap, at least my model didn't. Though, the sculpt has some positive points, head seems good and the texture with differentiated fur areas puts this sculpt to a decent level.
What's really unacceptable is the way it is factory painted, even for me once I am not that exigent in this regard.

So, what's better than having one of these figures repainted by our talented French friend Alain?

What a marvellous repaint, I might ask Alain to do mine when it comes into my collection (but I'm not sure) and a nice little cave bear added to the mix, congrats Roger

And the bear, of course, is just wonderful : a darker and much more nicely painted than mine, - it isn't also a repaint, is it ?

I think it is not, the picture is very dark once everything around is white.

Ah, this shows that the model itself is quite nice (the feet are still weird to me though). What a masterful repaint and a very deserving new owner!

Very nice repaint but I prefer mine which is repainted by Alain too (he did several repaints with different shades but I cannot post pictures of mine since it is in my parents' house).

Thanks for your words, Kosta. I am glad I can find some time among my TAW adventures to post something on forum and gestures like these can't stay silent forever.
Malayan tapir and snow leopard are both from Asia but they really live in different regions and habitats. I really wanted to show my tapir here, I love it!
