Mojo Fun New 2021 - complete with pictures

I hear ya, so many arthropods! Your wallet needs some time to recover? Mine too...

I think this has been a good year of announcements for all brands considering the pandemic effects. The only brand that seems to be obviously suffering is Safari, which has me worried. But Bullyland even scraped a few new models together, it's just a question of who can actually purchase them.

It's official, these are all the new models for 2021

They look wonderful together, Mojo have certainly focused on quality rather than quantity this year, which is definitely the best thing to do after a year of this virus!

A very nice group shot there, and I'm not disappointed without any new species but Mojo will still empty my wallet as most of these are too much to resist

Thanks Kostas! First post is updated accordingly. Your work in this topic was also very important keeping our forum in line with what was happening on Mojo Facebook. First class work. Thanks to all oters that contributed to keep STS up to date. I am rarely excited when there aren't unusual species but some are too good to be disappointed. I hope the final models are according with my expectations. If the warthog is as good as it looks, I probably already know which figure I'll vote for 2021 best of the year.

I'm kinda sad that there aren't any new horses. Mojo's become my favorite besides Schleich. My herd can stay the same size for a year though. :) I'm definitely getting the smilodon and snow leopard.

Is the smilodon a new model or just a repaint?

Wow, nice to see that MOJO is back in the game! Of course there aren't any rare species, but I'm amazed by the quality, specially the Kangaroo and the female Gorilla seem to be the best you can get. I'm a bit sad that there aren't any new horses, or was Ana involved in modeling some wild life?

This is a new model.

Ever since they announced these on Facebook I got so excited, I will definitely get the gorillas and the Smilodon but the others are all so good too, I'd definitely pick them up when my budget allows.
The warthog is even better than Schleich's new one with its tail up, while the new Schleich one is certainly an improvement over its older counterpart and I don't regret buying the 2021 Schleich warthog, I may sacrifice it to customization if I get Mojö's version.

This smilodon is one of the best! far better than Papo and Safari ltd last one and the previous one!.. I am impatient to order it!

I will need to wait for the actual figure of Smilodon before I know whether I will add this to my Sabertooth collection.   From the picture here, I am not a fan.  It looks far to slender for a Smilodon.  So far, I much prefer the previous Smilodon from Mojo.

Looking at muscle diagrams of the genus this might just be due to the angle.
But then again don't we all wait to see more images before we actually buy a figure?
At least I can't think of many times where people pre-ordered models that are meant as toys and not display statues.
The previous Mojö Smilodon had also a rather strange face, I'd say that would be something harder to fix if one plans to than bulking the body up if needed.

Looking at this muscle diagram by Jun's Anatomy I don't really see a problem.

MiniZoo already have most of the 2021 Mojo figures available and soon they'll have them all. From my calculations, the elephant is more or less 10 cm tall at the shoulders what puts it into a 1:32 scale for a large bull. Thus, I think it won't be a large model, probably in line with what we are used from major brands.

female hand comparison:

Published measurements on Minizoo are extremes. So, 13 cm (total height) should refer to the top of the trunk

Playing with hands, here is the warthog that will only be available next week.

Yes, it was what I considered to calculate the shoulder's height . I believe it is not far from what I mentiioned.

Just from those pictures with the hands, they look bigger as other brands. But we all know how the perspective and the angle can influence such a picture.
For me, I will have to wait until some of our great members do comparison topics. I love those models, but will wait. For exemple the warthog - I hope it´s the same size as the ones from Schleich, as the one from Safari for exemple is to big.

The warthog is probably 15 to 20% larger than Schleich's. I think elephants will be close in termos of size even if they look radically different in terms of design and prportions. It is not perfect but I think they will compare somewhat like htis.

I wish they made the elephants larger like Bullylands.
