PNSO Borealopelta Empty
PostSubject: PNSO Borealopelta   PNSO Borealopelta EmptyThu Mar 11, 2021 6:03 am

Borealopelta was discovered very recently : 2017
Tthe specimen is remarkable for being among the best preserved dinosaur fossils of its size ever found. It preserved not only the armor (osteoderms) in their life positions, but also remains of their keratin sheaths, overlying skin, and stomach contents from the animal's last meal. Melanosomes were also found that indicate the animal had a reddish skin tone.

And just one year after that, we got a model from Collecta ! cheers
It was a great surprise and the model is nice.

But now, we have the PNSO one and OMG..

Gavin the Borealopelta :

When I saw this on real ... :

... immediately reminded me of one movie, which I really like : '' The last samurai '' and the famous red armor,
which Tom Cruise used at the end :

So we could named it Tom Laughing

What I like in PNSO models is not only the great sculpt and the way this brand take care of its products, the boxes look like an Apple box so far Applause What I like is they have a name. Wink  They have a name because each of them have a personnality, it is very impressive drunken

Thank you for this new review Kosta, I like the way you are doing it Applause cheers

And now I have to wait for a Pinacosaurus walkaround bounce Laughing

I have no idea if it is possible to put more detail onto a model. Every single part of the figure is carefully sculpted, I wonder how long it took to the sculptor get it finished. It is a truly amazing piece, I believe it is unavoidable for every collector of dino models. It also feels quite realistic as much as it is possible for a prehistoric creature. Thanks once more for your walk around and for dynamizing the PNSO section, I hope this brand keeps among us for a long time.
