2021 Horse Figure of the Year, time for your choices!

As you can see HERE, the STS 2021 Toy animal figure of the year competition is open.

It's time to make your  choices for Horses. You have until February 5th, Saturday to list a a maximum of five figures to this category. On February 6th, Sunday, we'll start a poll with the figures with the biggest number of choices.

Models of all brands can compete, the only rule is that it must be a 2021 release.

Note: I don't have real pictures of half of them so I am sharing the official pictures.

I am not at all knowledgeable about horses, so I'll only cast one vote, and that's for the figure I bought this year:

Breyer Arctic Grandeur Horse

I'm neither knowledgeable about varieties of this species, but this is no needed for vote, just choose those figures that appeal more to you in the pictures! :)

Hate to be the bearer of such bad news, but the creator of IdentifyYourBreyer died last summer, so not all the 2021 releases are on that page.

And bear in mind that only certain horses listed there were for general release, ie. available in toy shops or to buy online. As well as some being show specials and club exclusives, many are extremely limited and rare - for example some only available at one event where they were given to volunteers/staff, and some unique models which were sold by auction. We wouldn't count a Schleich one-of-a-kind release which was auctioned at a toy fair, or a Kaiyodo run which was only given to employees of the company, so we shouldn't count all those Breyers as available for voting, either.

We include the Breyer link almost in a symbolic way because it is really complex to understand what should be considered a new release or not. Also, Breyer are illegible and it is not fair that we don't make any reference.

No, there's no more comprehensive archive of models than that one - the latest I heard is that friends of the collector who ran it are working hard to get the site saved up the the point it was last updated, and will carry it on with current and new releases once they have a new version up and running. I'll be sure to pass on any announcement of re-opening, or a new link if the web address has to change.

As a Breyer collector, as well as most of the other brands up for nomination in this category, I'd suggest perhaps their regular runs only being considered for the figure of the year poll, to keep it fair and open to all - those are the mass produced and readily available ones any collector can get hold of, in any country (especially as we have so many non-USA collectors on this particular forum!), without having to be a member of anything, or take part in any events.

I hope they manage a way to keep this emblematic site running. It is not easy once it requires a lot of time and dedication. Not many collections in this world are as complex as Breyer. I've just read that Janice started listing figures by number as we do with many brands on TAW but later she moved to a mould identification system.
Breyer is so confuse that even reading your post, I go to the releases page and it is Chinese for me.
It won't be a problem, this is a forum where the majority collects those we call "major brands" and unlikely a Breyer model is going to the final.

Oh no, that is really awful news, so sad! It is such a wonderful website, but what a wonderful legacy that has been left, it is a gem for collectors. I really hope they can find a way to keep it running, I have found it really useful for the dogs!

that's very confusing with Breyer then ? so many different releases of them!
I really like their smooth coated, thin/slim legged models so I just choose the ones I liked the look of the best - though I couldn't see any horse as handsome as me
