Anyway we collector don't depend on their releases!!

I'm new to this forum (2 weeks) and I'm very surprised and even disappointed to see that a lot of people keep blaming Schleich in many threads...

I'm not a big collector, I can't buy a lot of figurines and few brands are available in France. I like Schleich figurines and I really enjoy buying them.

The 2012 models make me really happy : gorillas, alpacas, new sheep, skunk, nice birds...

Why are you so angry ??

Arnaud, don't be disappointed! You should collect what you really love and we are a family here. People has nothing against Schleich, that's the most popular brand and we want more. 90% of the members of this forum only collect Schleich, see how many different members are commenting here and in Mojo Fun and CollectA 2012 topics, even the figures are exciting, you see not many members! I think it is interesting to be in a place where people has his opinion and feel free to comment. ...and,as a teacher and Biologist you surely agree that discussing the quality of a figure is a very educative exercise. Is true, we see them as replicas of real animals but they are only toys. :)
If you love 2012 Schleich eleases you only have to say it even other people is not thinking alike! :) Please enjoy and keep showing your beautiful Schleich collection as you're doing! :)

Becuase sheep have been made since the '30s and their birds are notihng compared to WotW.
There is nothing new...Nothing exciting!

Arnaud, I think maybe collectors are disappointed in the figures Schleich is producing, compared to what other companies are producing? I have nothing against Schleich, just not my style(I do like a few of their figs, ex: Grazing zebra), but I agree with other collectors that this years Schleich is not as nice as in years past(I didn't purchase any Schleich this year, and not any this next year either). Their elephant upgrade's/redo's are much nicer than the previous ones, but personally I would have liked to see them made the same size as the 2011 Fighter Elephant. But it all goes back to, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or if your a hardcore collector and you want every figure, or if you only collect from a certain company, it's all up to the collector!

Collecting is a love affair Arnaud, and sometimes we expect too much from the companies. Many of us are SCHLEICH additcs but it seems this year, the millesime is not the best in their eyes...
As my friends here know, SCHLEICH is not my favourite hunting ground, but it is a great company and I know this forum will be far smaller or even don't exist without SCHLEICH.
I hope you will be happy in our forum, it's a place where people are friendly with each other even if we don't agree on everything.
You are right to love SCHLEICH models and to collect them and I sincerely hope you will share your collection pics and thought with us.
I hope you will look at the other sections to discover how old, wide and varied is the animal replicas universe
