Starting a new line of sea mammals is a good excuse to release the same animals. Anyway the sea turtle is a new species for Schleich although we can find them easily in other brands. I suspect also that they will be smaller than the previous ones, like Schleich did with dinos, probably to compete in the same range of prices of CollectA. Curious that all these animals are present in CollectA sea life range Still nothing really new and if the wolf will be also a new release I'm afraid we'll have more of the same. Anyway we will see.

Which previous one Are you meaning the AAA or the M&B previous one ?

Well, I also don't know if those are really original from Schleich, maybe they are Nayab or any other brand, but as long as they are marked Schleich the miracle happens!

yes, if they are schleich 2013 seems to be a good year as they are higly detailed

I only have a few Schleich figures(Grazing zebra, Male Orang and a few others), but who ever is the sculptor designer for the Hyena(With the Gladiator) and the Rhino(With the Gladiator), really has more of a realistic style. Has anyone done a walk around for the Hyena(With Gladiator). I may purchase, and remove the collar.

I asked the shop yesterday in the evening about telling me the new items! I hope I will get an e-mail today, so that I can may share the new items with you, but also can happen, that the shop give me the information and forbide me to tell them anyone. This could happen too, but I hope it's not like this, because I want that we all get to know the 2013 lineup.

Well... I know it was just a first look but... I´m a little dissapointed in new Schleich horses too :/ Fell pony is my favorite and this brand new family is... I don´t know... Not that good Schleich horses in 90´s and early 10´s had their unique personality but last year´s new horses and these new horses... don´t (for me)
But I saw just some picks and maybe reality will be much better. I hope there will be more new "heavy horses" :) And ofcourse I´m really excited about new wildlife collection

Look at the numbers from the horses, there is a big space between the Hanoverian foal and the Fell stallion. I think this missing numbers are horses, too.

I agree but I think they may keep the hanovarian from 2009 as it is highly detailed and is newer than the foal and mare

Maybe shop did a mistake in website or so Anyway it is animal figure that is worth to have and it's also possible to buy babies of this badger from Schleich I like adult one most though :)

I just noticed on the Schleich website that they have the Collector Items for 2013 marked already!

It seems strange to me that so many of the new figures from 2012 are being retired already- the Heroes, and many of the Farm People too. Lots of Arelan Elves are being retired too, it looks like I'll have to purchase all the ones I'm missing before they're impossible to find!!

Thank You for the link. It's not good news to me, I wanted this torak bear and porcupine but probably I will not be able to buy them

Finally they retire hippo, so there is hope for new one or even family of them!!!

Yes, now that you have mentioned it... Those new 2012 dogs are going to be retired and also some foals. Why would they retire only the foals and not the mares or the stallions of the same breed? (black forest foal and the arabian foal). It's also strange that all the huskies are going to be retired except the male

Schleich logic is strange ...
