The Wooly AAA is one of the favorites of my own models.

It seems also macaques are nearly unseen creatures on STS those days

I'm sorry I don't have a lot of free time on holiday, my daughter needs her father She always wants to go to the sea, the cinema, the parks and... even the zoos

But Scott asked me about the STARLUX rhinos so here is my contribution .

Scott, you have indeed the STARLUX black hino n° 1715, made in 1967. It looks like the wolly one but it is from a different mould, the tail and the detail on the skin are different.
STARLUX made a wooly rhino, a black rhino, a white rhino and two Indian rhino, one in 1953 and the second in 1962.

Here is a pic of the 1971 leaflet.

Thank you so much Christophe!! That leaflet is making me drool heavily. I've been staring at it for the last fifteen minutes imagining the horrible things I would do to acquire some of those Starlux figures. The Buffalo/Bison in the lower left corner of the first page is giving me fits. I feel like Gollum.

Britains African Black Rhino charging 1:32nd scale PVC plastic 1979 to 1998. Even with being in production for almost 20 years it seems to be hard to find nowadays.

Britains is not one of my favorite brands, even if I have had some for 30 - 40 years.
But some are really great.
Perhaps your pictures were in the back of my mind, when I saw that a very nice, British seller had two for sale ( and some little wild piggies), so my fingers made a small bid

I was very surprised to see how large they are
The finish is very "Britain"-ish, but they are enormously charming IMHO

Roger provided the dates when this model was made in plastic. However, the hollow-cast lead version was introduced in 1929 made until circa 1941 and then produced post war from 1946 to 1960.
