Susanne's new additions for 2012

Today I got the most fantastic package !
On a Danish web-auktion there was a very smudged photo of a lot of plastic-animals.
But I could distinguish a lemur and an AAA-cat, so I put a bid on it.
One more person put a bid, and the price rose to almost 25 Euro, so I thought, nono, I won`t pay more now!
But after a couple of days I bid app 1 more Euro, - and GOT them !
When I opened the package every little animal was carefully wrapped in gift-paper

First I found a Chap Mei figuere :

Then Two perfect AAA animals : Cat and Lemour:

And some neat critters, - I am sure the kids in the local kindergarden will love them

These are also "made in China", but they are definitely staying here !

The prize, in my opinion, a gorgeous Rhino. No marks, does anybody know it ?

My AAA chimp-mom got one more baby now :

AAA mouse and squirrel. The mouse is almost scarily life-like :

Wow What a great lot of goodies congratulations Susanne.
The lemur is really lovely. I've seen the rhino recently, was it Fernando that had one too?

Oh you're right, it's completely different. Where have I seen it then This is going to bug me now...

Your new horses are really nice too, the Arab looks very much like the retired Schleich Arab stallion, doesn't it!

The black rhino is made by Nayab indeed, and sold under many brand-names as we now right now...

This morning I got the most FANTASTIC package from Sue

A while ago she found a lot of papos on Ebay, where the seller gave huge discounts, and she offered that I could order some and have them sent to her.

I was so greedy, that poor Sue has to send them in two boxes, and today I got the first one

Being Sue, of course there were wonderful surprises included also : The Papo-puzzle, a box of gorgeous retired horses.....and A VARIATION OF THE OLD DONKEY

Look, he is completely different from the grey one I had

Here are the oter gems from Sue`s package, - wow, it was SO fun to unpack
The puzzle, I am over-joyed to have it

And the display box, item no 50082 ! It is only shown in the catalogue from 2005 !

The thorougbred mare is also a variation, she is hand painted, whereas the one I had is spray-painted. It is hard to see in the picture, though

I was very happy to get the Boulonnais stallion also. I had him already, but full of paint rubs and with a broken ear.
Fortunately they are also painted in different ways, like the Thoroughbreds are, so I don`t have to like one more than the other

The Ankylosaurus, - he is wonderful
But why did Papo have to make him in 5 parts and glue them together
Well, because they are Papo I suppose And I LOVE him

They are much nicer than I thought, - have anybody noticed that the picture in the catalogue is mirrored ?
Perhaps Papo should consider making a dad for the little family

As a principle I am not too keen on white tigers and lions, they would never survive in the wild, and I consider it a mistake to breed them.
But Papos big cats are so beautyful..and these are no exception

They will have to use each other for compagny for a while, untill I find their mothers

That's really an incredible package!
So many nice additions!
Figures are made in parts because Papo use some parts in other figures! Try to compare some ceratopsians from Papo. Some parts are exactly the same. I'm also sure that some of these will be reused in warriors or so!
The smilodon is really impressive, have you noticed how wrongly narrow is the body? But it has a lot of action, I guess!
Well, I don't remember already how many times Nicole asked me how to remove the baby panda from is mom!
The white cats are wonderful and also the chimps, mainly in your wonderful pictures! So many nice horses, the set! No doubt, a tremendous package from Sue!

Wow,I think it is a good choice to start with dinosaurs from Papo this year,the Ankylosaurus is a prehistoric beauty.
