They seem to be in about the same scale as it looks, which looks good next to eachother!

I'm with you HKH, the Papo is alas not exactly a megahit...

Speaking about the CollectA, it is still a small moose but I like the thin legs and the shape a lot.

The painting and overall finishing of the CollectA moose looks mediocre. Is it really so, Ken?

In CollectA some details are truely sculpted and not painted as Schleich. Nice in fact but worst in photos but I don't collect photos!
For some collectors the big painting default of CollectA is the tag, it should say Schleich and the animal will look much better!
Both are wonderfull!

I have been dying to see actual photos of the collecta Moose for ages. I wasnt sure about its size but it does seem to fit with the Schleich scale perfectly.

Now i will definitely buy the CollectA Moose and Bison and Llama I think they are all well made.

I think CollectA is working int the same scales as Schleich. This is nice for us because Schleich has some there are better and CollectA have others there are better. So is qa question of choice or we may use both!
I see you love okapi. 2010 bring us 3 different okapis. What's your favourite?

Schleich okapi is from 2007! 2010, I suppose, brought 3 malayan tapirs, but I was trying to say that in the main brands 2010 has 3 okapis avalaible. Papo, Safari and Schleich. Maybe I'm wrong!!!
Sorry for my bad english!

Oh I see, I thought there were three Okapis I didn't know about Rolling Eyes Laughing I love Okapis. Very Happy I have the Papo and Schleich, but I don't like the paintwork on the Safari one.

Maybe 2011 CollectA will give you another nice okapi... or not!!!
Which one you think is more realistic? Papo or Schleich? Thanks!

Schleich is the most realistic I think, but it doesn't mean Papo is not a good model Wink .

The Safari's okapi is an old model now... Maybe they will make a better one soon Very Happy

By the way, congratulation for the Sporting Portugal Wink

I think the Papo Okapi is more realistic myself. As much as I love the Schleich Okapi, the Papo Okapi is my favourite, Roger. Papo is the best match I think for a real Okapi.

Somehow I still prefer the schleich Okapi than Papo Okapi. Maybe collecta will bring out one for next year.

Thanks kiki, HK and Ken. That's very nice when are different opinions!
I saw a tread about okapis and these photos. I think that Schleich one looks to have very long ears and is less uscular but as Schleich animals is making photogenic pose.
I'm a new collector and I'm learning with you and you are fantastic!!!
Thanks Christophe for my Sporting and I hope the best for your Sporting!

Mooses are boring creatures, my choice was CollectA, nice sculpting, nice legs, not best painting nor quality!rendeer
What I don't like is boring hunters, like static lions, cheetahs or jaguars! And honestly, I don't like Papo moose!!!:)
