Flickr is one easy-to-use option to post photos. It stores all your photos in an organized format, so you can easily grab the BBCode to post the photo you need.
1.) Log into your Flickr account. If you have a Yahoo account, you can log into Flickr with the same information. Just enter your email and password. If you don't have an account in Flickr or Yahoo, you can sign up for a free one.
2.) You should see a grey bar near the top of the screen that says "Flickr," then the options of "You," "Contacts," "Communities," "Explore," and "Upload." You don't have to worry about any of those except for the one that says "Upload." Click "Upload."
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]3.) You'll get a screen telling you to upload a photo or drag then into the screen. You can click the pink button and find your images, or if you have your photos open in a documents window, drag them into the box on Flickr. You'll then see your photo in a thumbnail (please note it may take a while for the photo to appear - you might just see a black box for a while.)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]4.) On the right hand corner of the screen, there is a blue button that says "Upload # Photos." Of course, it will say the number of photos, not #. Click that when all of your photos are entered. A box will appear, and you'll see a loading pink bar. When your photo(s) is finished uploading, the box will go away and it will appear along with the rest of your uploaded photos.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]5.) If you're not already seeing the thumbnails of your photos, click on the tab that says "You." Now you will see the list of your photos.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]6.) Click on the photo you want to post. It will come up in a big screen. Below your photo in the bottom right hand corner you will see four icons: a scenery with a sun and a mountain, a box with a pencil, an arrow pointing right, and an arrow pointing down with a straight line below it.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]7.) Click the arrow pointing to the right. A new window will come up. Click "BBCode," then use the drop-down menu to select the size you want. (Up to 800px is good for STS.)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]8.) The code should already be highlighted. If not then you can highlight it, or click off and click the arrow again and it should highlight it for you.
9.) Paste the code into your post. When it comes up there will be a lot of information there. Most of this creates a link to your Flickr account after the photo, but you can delete this if you don't want it.
For example see here:
(With link)

(Without link)
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]To delete the link all you have to do is delete the URL code. If you're not used to working in HTML it might be difficult to see, so I've highlighted here in red what you need to delete:
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]See how the parts in red say "URL?" That's what you need to delete. The section with the IMG is what makes your image.
Once you submit your post the photo should be displayed.
Tip:
To make the photos load into Flickr faster, you can resize your photos in the free photo-editing program GIMP. Making the size of your photo about 1000x1000px or less, with a resolution of 72x72ppi will be best.
I hope that helped!
Please remember to keep your photos around 800 pixels or less, as some members with older computers may have trouble viewing the photo.
