Retired Asian elephant, Spotted dolphin, Monterey Bay thresher shark, Butterfly and three bumble bees :-D

On several occations I have admired Christophe's photoes of the thresher shark from the Monterey bay series.
It was a dark and stormy night, where I searched Ebay again, without much hope...and THERE it was   

And, - oh yes ! the seller also had the beautyful, spotted dolphin. Both at a very sensible price

It seems I hit a lucky period.
At Toyanimal.info I saw that there is a retired, Asian Elefant that I had never seen...and BINGO ! Immediately I foun one, - even with tag   
This elephan was made from 2003 - 2007, which is not long for Safari.

The poor guy is actually not much of a looker, but seen from certain angles he is enormously cute

From France came this lovely, but retired, yellowtail Butterfly

Those are really Safari treasures. Not only because they're retired but mainly because they're nice. Although I don't have them, I find the bigeye thresher a fantastic figure and the spotted dolphin is very beautiful too. By the way, does someone know which exact species is the dolphin?
Ah, I am sure that some of the most dedicated collector of elephants doesn't know probably this one! Congratulations!

Isn't thae dolphin an Atlantic spotted dolphin Perhaps ?  

Great figures, that dolpin was my 2nd favorite after the pacific white sided one.

Congrats! I wish Safari would bring back the spotted dolphin. Perhaps it didn't sell well because it was in the same mold as their old bottlenose dolphin?

You are probably right ! I have often wondered why some rare species, like the Ardwark,Smithsonians etc are retired after relatively few years  
Perhaps it is also because children tend to go for the animals that they know ?

Yes, you're right Susanne. Thanks for linking. I was in doubt with the pantropical but Atlantic fits better.
