CollectA 2014: WILDLIFE - African Wild Ass (88664)

Dear all

I have extremely pleasure in being able to show you the CollectA African Wild Ass. This model is another highlight for me in next year's collection and I have been waiting for a model of this beautiful animal for a long time.

This animal is based on a standing Wild Ass and is quite simple in it's pose but this was deliberate so as not to detract from the beauty of the animal.

Like Wild Water Buffalo's, Wild Ass images tend to vary due to different body shapes and this is based on a relaxed African Wild Ass image. It is time for this critically endangered animal to be widely recognised. I know most of you were hoping for the smaller Somali Wild Ass Sub-species but CollectA have opted for the main larger species due to its IUCN Red List Status.

I do hope we have a foal one day! Very Happy

Interesting, the static pose and long body make me immediately think in the Mojo giant sable and I will repeat the same comment, good figures of unusual creatures doesn't need different poses to be great! I am so happy that there is a wild ass around! albino
