This was a popular theme in the UK during the 1950s/'60s, no doubt because of the TV series starring Richard Greene (I'll try to find a youtube clip), so I'll start with the Britains/Herald set, complete with original promotional leaflet. They were made 1956-62, plus there was a new Robin Hood set in the 1990s. The two boxed sets fetch horrendous prices (sometimes well over UK£1000 for the big set ) when they appear for auction on eBay or at specialist 'real life' toy auctions, and even unboxed figures regularly change hands for high prices for plastic figures, such as about UK£30 or so for a good condition mounted Sheriff of Nottingham.
I'll try to find photos of Robin Hood toys by other manufacturers, but if anyone else has any, feel free to add to this thread.
Edit to add youtube link of 1st ever episode, 1955, US version (i.e. + sponsor mentioned in opening credits). Sorry about advert at start, but you can skip it part way through.

Sometimes we get surprised how expensive can be some animal collectibles but in fact there are many other toy collectibles that can achieve incredible prices. Thanks for sharing all this information!
