| Hello, this elephant was designed and produced in the 60/70 Years in the UdSSR. This elephant is made of strong plastic but hollow and weights only about 140 g. It is not easy to press the body. The elphant is marked with the price and ?country? in kyrill letters. This elephant is part of group of yellow animals like a hippo, lama, bear and cat and so on. Benno. | Especially the elephant with the Kyrill letters is interesting. It is also interesting that i don't have seen this serie on a exhibition of toys from the UDSSR. |

| That yellow elephant has probably an interesting history behind it. Could it be a Soviet propagandistic toy? |

Hello Andreas, do you mean the german traveling exhibition ZOO MOCKBA? I found following information about this exhibition in the internet and I found a picture shown in the exhibiton in Crailsheim with nearly the same elephant. Look here: Bild Nr.13 Crailsheim I think the grey elephant is a masterproduct from Boris Worobjew and the yellow elephant is variation of the grey one. Benno. | I also like very much the first model despite the large ears for an Asian elephant. |

| Fantastic the Mojo Indian elephant in that 2nd photo, Jean! Is it normal pvc or the rubbery tpr they used for a short time? Nice family too, Andreas! |

| I have never been a lover of elephant figures, they have always seemed to me excessively popular, overexploited and hackneyed.... Besides, children always answer that their favorite animals are elephants, giraffes, tigers, lions... But I, since I was a very, very, very little child, have had a passion for rarer or less popular animals (always fighting in favor of hyenas...) But, I must admit that when there is an elephant figurine I fall in love with it, it is at the top of my searches... I wanted to present with this introduction two figures that impress to me (one -arrived from Germany- was waiting for the other one, that landed yesterday in Madrid from France). Here a beautiful pair of Asian elephants with more than a century of difference in age... A Pfeiffer from 1900 and a Kerapolin... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]PS: I am fascinated by Asian elephants with this characteristic pink discoloration... |

| The one with depigmented face and ears is quite nice. I like a lot the effect of very fine skin wrinkles. _________________ My collection:- (Details):
