| Tree new mares and two new dogs from Safari this year Quater horse mare, Arabian mare and Mustang mare. All are from already existing moulds, but in new colours. Yorkshire Terrier and Dachshund . THEY are new moulds, - the material seems to be new also, - sort of rough to touch [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Dogs are not the core competence of Safari, but the sculturing is fine..it seems that the hind legs on Dachshunds HAS to look like that these days They have saved a lot on the paint on this dachshund, except in the wrong places [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I am trying a Lego-block for size comarison. I have no lego-person, but found this one among some old crayons and such [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Little Yorkie is ever so cute. But again the paintwork.... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ready for Crufts, the fur is so well combed [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Arabian mare is the same mould as the retired white one ( The one with the yellow roses). Unfortunately the surface is extremely matte and rough to the touch, and very vulnerable, - but the mane and tail are COPPER painted [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I ADORE her ( Sorry for the cat-hair on her chin ) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Isn't she adorable ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The Mustang with wavy hair . She is the same mould as the Palomino from last year [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Nice and quiet light palomino Quater-lady from the same mould as the Appaloosa [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ken looks quite please with the new mares in his flock [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Congrats! I like the palomino QH the best, though the paintwork on all is sub-par at best. |

| Congrats, the I like the buckskin and palomino best. The yorkie looks like it has some extreme hair coming out of its ears and that poor dachshund, though they are wonderful. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Congrats! the horses are extremely fabulous. I don't have any horses of the Safari because I don't like their paintwork and the rough touch. But now,I think it's time to change my attitude. I love the Arabian mare. the color of the mane and tail is so beautiful, and the eyes filled with tears is so cute and pathetic. |

| Great additions Susanne!
The paintwork on the dogs really is disappointing. Safari typically has sloppy, mediocre paintwork, but this is particularly bad! It's unfortunate. The sculpts are quite nice and would benefit from excellent painting. And since Dachshunds are my tippy-top favorite dog, it is especially discouraging.
Nevertheless, they are all excellent models! I'm very happy for you! |

Nevertheless, they are all excellent models! I'm very happy for you! the dogs are very very differnt from the advertising pics Indeed Safari ltd is ruining a lot of excellent sculptings with this kind of paint works. |

| Congratulations to the newest addition to your herd! I like the horses and the dachshund. Are these hind legs really like the real one? Poor dogs. But cute anyway. The paintjob is really not the best. But every company has it's cons and pros... |

| IT is not exciting that all new horses are from known molds, though, I really love the Arabian mare in her new color. It is my favorite of all here shown. Thanks for your great pictures. |

| Oh, how did I miss this topic?!! Congrats, Susanne, on your fantastic new additions! Oh, those dogs. I am cringing, oh, on seeing this Dach.... Aside from the legs, it might have been okay. Personally the Yorkie, too, is plain boring... no movement, just a square of hair. Hahah. But that is only an opinion. Susanne, I apologise,it is not you I criticize! But these horses are beautiful, too, especially the Mustang. How lovely she stands. |

I have been googling as best I can ( ), and it seems that some of the dachshunds which win prices at shows, stand like this . Probably they have been tought to do it, but stand much more naturally when let loose. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I surely hope so . Otherwise it could be quite unpleasant to be a male running over rough terrain But still, it looks like the look of the dachshunds is getting more and more extreme . I hope the kindness to animals will soon expand beyond giraffes and pressure will be put on the various Kennel Clubs to revise the (interpretation of ) many standards !!! |

| Oh, Susanne, yes, you are right about how these dogs are stacked. I suppose it is part of breed standards, but that's not so much why I cringe. You see, the model itself is so badly angulated at the hind leg, especially in thickness and size. Overall, especially in comparison to your photo above, this new figure is far to chunky, especially in the legs. Would you be able to tell me the measurement of this figure at its whithers? I wish to find out if it is to scale of Standard or Miniature Dach. Also, I have a beautiful Dach by Safari which is one of the best examples, and to scale, I have found yet. Would you like to see it? And also - hahaha! It is truly funny, yes, to think of poor male Dachs, only the breed standard does call for a tummy tuck, which prevents these parts from hanging too far. xD [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]But otherwise, quite a good figure. |

| I got the parcel from the United States today, and the dachshund has the right eye dirty black as the Susanne's Dachshund . I took my colors and I did a touch-up as in the photo. Sorry for focus How are your Safari dachshunds? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
