Oh, I was waiting for the first real-life pics of this lioness next to Schleich lions impatiently! Thanks, Anna, and congrats on your new acquisition!
Now I see that the figurine is wonderful and her scale is OK near the Schleich lions. Although here she looks more like an adult lioness, not young :)

Hmmm, according to translators lioness is called lionne in French, so this animal is Young Lion - like it's written on Papo web page. I thought it's a female

Male lion should have visible testicles in this age, probably I think I can see something alike on your photos, Sergey, but I'm not sure.
If it's a male - shouldn't it have some tiny mane already?

This cub is significantly smaller than Papo female, and small testicles are visible so it could be very young male...

I always thought it is a young lioness. But as Robert says, it looks like she has testicles

I think lots of vets know this phenomenon in cats,
- people come with their cat Ludwig and leave with their cat Lonnie ---- or opposite

Thanks Sergey for noticing that it is a male and not a female! I had it in my hands before and I never noticed it. As Robert says the Papo catalogue and site calls it a jeune lion and not lionne, so it is a male for sure! Next time we must look at some parts before saying what is it. :)
It turns that figure even clearer in a response to the unlucky Schleich young lion.
The figure is very small so it is natural not having a mane yet!
That kind of things happens when brands are far from collectors!

Hm, I was going to buy this figure and display it near my Schleich young lion, as a brother & sister... Now I'll think twice :)
