| Hey everyone, I was wanting to sit a few figures on my windowsills, but I am worried about them becoming sun faded. Are they tough enough that you can display them without this happening or should I avoid doing this?
The brands I would be displaying would be Schleich and Safari LTD.
In the summer my windows do get very high sunlight, I should note. I haven't really tried displaying them this way so far, so I thought I would ask here before trying it out! |

| I wouldn't risk it! I've always read to keep them away from the sun, glass cases are most desirable. |

| Noooo!! Just like every plastic, UV can ruin the colors or the heat can even melt them. I have a cabin that is out of sunlight, no glass, that is fine too. As long as the sun isn't shining on them the most of the day. @Susanne: Poor Icey, could you fix the legs by heating them up again? @Fisva: Oh my o.0 How long did that take for her to yellow like that? _________________ ~Karin~

| I've actually thought the same thing. The models would be so nice into my bedroom window.. Maybe just have to leave them on the shelves Thanks for answering everybody! In the older house I lived, I put them into my window, cause the place was shady.. Can't do that anymore _________________ Jonas Animals are my friends. I don't eat my friends. |

| Ah I see, I guess they will have to stay where they are then. v_v I keep my wolves on an acrylic riser that sits on my dresser.
The rest I keep on wall shelves or (in the case of the ones I want to sell/trade off) in a plastic storage container. I was wanting to put my new Schleich Lynxes on the window but i'll just keep them on my bookshelf instead.
I don't have the money or space for actual glass cases for my collections. |
