1. Bactrian camel, Camelus bactrianus (CollectA, 2017)
2. dromedary, Camelus dromedarius (Safari LTD, 2010)
3. llama, Llama glama (Safari LTD, 2010)
Yes, this llama is rather on the large size!

NOTE: no alpaca yet; I am holding out for the Mojo 2019 figure (or at least to see how it looks)

I love the camel family , and this last year, I have been extremely lucky Very Happy

LOOK !!!  cheers

Alpaca from Papo, Guanaco from US Yowies ( gift from Paige  queen ), Dromedary from Schleich, and the two wonderful llamas from Mojo (Gift from Kelly  queen ) :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I had a question about the size of the new Schleich dromedary compared to the one from Papo :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Papo is slightly larger.  Rolling Eyes

...and how it looks together with the older dromedaies from Schleich :

Thank you so much Susanne ! This dromedary is a beauty, definitely the best Schleich figure of this year and the best dromedary figure on the market.

Now I am going to get Papo dromedary, waiting for Schleich new one, cos they fit perfectly well with each other (and it seems to me that Papo's is a male while Schleich's is a female) !

Those comparison pics are so useful to me, thank you so much guys.

Mojo Llama is gorgeous but a bit too large. Isn't it larger than Papo Guanaco ?

The new Schleich dromedary looks very very charming, I really like it. The pose is quiet similar to the Papo one though..
It seems like Schleich models are getting a bit bigger this year, don't you think?

Yes, indeed.

That's an issue as far as the reindeer is concerned but the dromedary is just fine, the previous one was still a bit too small.

Moreover, since you are a CollectA lover like me Spacelab, don't you think this new Schleich dromedary is typically the kind of gorgeous figures CollectA would make ? Looks more CollectA than Schleich to me.

Yeah, you may have a point here, though I think it's also typical of Schleich to make gorgeous models every now and then. For 2020 I also think it's this Dromedary.
Of course I'd like to have her in my hands to be sure about it's quality, but I'll definitely buy it when it'll be available here!
I wonder how Susanne rates her as a figure and also in comparison with other available or older dromedaries. Susanne?

I also think she is one of the golden examples of Schleich these days cheers
Like the tapir, Indian rhino, the Asian elephant baby and others.

We often hear that us grumpy, old idiots HATE Schleich, but that is not true at all Laughing
Of course I can only talk for myself, but I do hate it, when Schleich makes really, really lousy models, because I know they can do so much better, and deep inside I love that brand Very Happy

The last American bison, moose bull, gorillas, drinking and eating giraffes, Yak and so many more, but grumpy, old idiots prefer to remember about the most cartoonish ones lol!

When you put this dromedary next to the snow leopard, that makes a huge difference Shocked

That is not really correct !
We ( I ) adore the old ones Wink
That is why I have almost all of them drunken

And Schleich retired the bison from 2014 this year, the drinking giraffe was made 2009-2012, the yak from 2010 - 13...

But I think I will start a topic about this tonight, and leave this topic to the camels lol!
