Pair of Love Birds - updated 24 May with paintwork

I've put this up to show before painting as it's for a wedding cake topper and I've been asked to paint it in an unexpected way! There's a special focus on this model for me as it's for my son's wedding in July :)

They are WONDERFUL   

I would not have thought that they could look brown, - lovebirds are very colourful - but the DO look great     
Actually it makes the fantastic sculpt-work show more clearly .
It is also amazing how the twig looks real, - and that the model can ballance so naturally

You would be easily tempted to choose a more colorful scheme but I really enjoy the brown choice. I am really enchanted with that pair!

The sculpture has been made to sit on top of a wedding cake. I was asked to use these colours to match the colour scheme of the wedding.... so that's why they are brown

The species you choose is the Agapornis personata. These brown birds (i like your sculpt VERY MUCH!!!) hav very close resemblance to the mutation Mauve. Mauve personatas are a little more blach/grey, but they resemble eacht other very much!:
