| Hello friends I think I've once started a topic like this, but it hasn't been uptated for months or maybe even years So I thought I could retry after reading the very interesting topics of you I have had some new additions this summer most of them due to an order on MPV. But first I will show you some of what I consider best additions: The ones I got on holiday Because they come from a foreign country, the figures I aquire on holiday always have little stories; a small store in a remote village, a fleemarket or the big KaDeWe in Berlin. I like figures that come from different places Here's a picture of the whole lot that came home with me from germany: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The first four where found at a fleemarket. I was "forced" to speak german and ask the seller how much I had to pay in order to buy some figures. So when I aksed what the price was for the cat and the dog I plainly said "Wie viel? to which the seller awnsered to me that I was holding two items *New note to myself: add "Kostet es?" to the previous sentence* [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I'm not too found of the bullyland horses but I've always like their Icey. I know there do exist a lot of Icey fans amongst the model horse collectors. I'm serntenly not one of them but look at his face [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Personlay I like this icey the most of the major companies (though I don't know about the safari ltd one...). The newest one from schleich just doesn't give me the feeling he's realy moving and the old one is just not my cup of tea I suppose. I'd rather go for the hairy cheerful fellow of bullyland [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The next horsey in line is one of the older schleich foals. I like this one because it's realy 'foaly' (if that's a word). When I compare it the the new hanoverian foal the body of the old one is clearly those of a foal while the new one's could almost be one of a adult horse is a smaller scale What I'm saying is probably not completely correct, but that's just what comes to my mind. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.](sorry for the blurry picture) Next up is another bullyland. A cat this time. He's the first cat of the major brands to walk into my collection so he's a bit of a loner I think he'll find a nice place in my little village though. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The last one of the fleemarket crew is this Whesty. I already had a "Charlie" , as I've named it, and I thought it was the same. but apperently they're not. My first Charlie was made in Chine while this one's made in Germany. I have to say, I like the German Charlie better. The eyes of the chinese ones are a bit strange... I'm not sure whit I'll do with them. For now they're sitting next to each other on my dog shelf. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]different stamps: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The next ones I bought in a shop where they finaly had other brands than just schleich. There were lots of models I had never seen in real life like the Papo hippo, the Collecta Mountain Nyala and the bullyland sunbear Though they're not the animals I collect I had a great time examaning all of them. Unfortunately they only had the horses by schleich but I managed to find these beauties amonght the lot: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Ever since I found the owl's picture on bullyland's website I have liked it alot. It's probably the the pose that caught me. I think bullyland did an excelent job this hunting owl The little mouse was found in the micro animals bucket. I only realised that they were a dangerous couple to put together after I put them in the bag. But they're bot still alive [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The very last item I have to show you is the schleich 75th aniversiary book aka the round zebra book [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]It's very interesting and to me a great find because I won't be able to get it in any shops in the netherlands I actually came home with three german books, while I graduated for french and not for german [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The two other books are part of a triologie of which I've read the first one already. I have this kind of habbit to want to read everything in it's original language and so far I'd only read English and Dutch books (exculding the ones I had to read for school). So when I discovered the author was German I decided, after a short hesitation, I accepted the challenge A little proof that it actually is german: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]That was it for now, way to many pictures, but I hope you'll like it anyway Okay, just one more picture; [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]_________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Anne-Joke [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ajs.artistry - Instagram AJs Artistry Shop - Etsy

| Beautyful models you got hthere, - Some wonderful Bullylands, even It is a very good idea to read books in the original language, but so far I have always given up on German ones I did manage to spell my way through a Maigreat-book in French, many years ago. Not sure I got the whole benefit of it though What a fantastic photo, the last one ! Is it from Germany ? |

| Nice additions Anne! This Icelandic is very beautiful! But, if you ever want the Safari, it is superb, my niece received one from Susanne and I had the chance of enjoying it. Maybe the newer Schleich is the less interesting but previous version is quite good. I enjoy all stories around your figures. |

| Great photos and text! I love the little Schleich foal, so pretty. And the bullyland owl and mouse are great too. (they're all great.)
I gasped when I read that you saw the new Papo Hippo and did not buy it. (or the CollectA Nyala.) I'm waiting with baited breath for the new Papo Hippopotamus Cow, Lion, and Snow Leopard. It's driving me crazy that they haven't come out yet. |

I really thing they're beautiful figures, but I can't collect everything. If they had the snow leopard I probably would have bought it, but they hadn't I hope you'll find them soon _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Anne-Joke [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ajs.artistry - Instagram AJs Artistry Shop - Etsy |

| Love the mouse's escape..! I quite agree with you about the two Schleich foals - the newer looks closer to a yearling, inspection age type of an animal, while the oldie's still built like a young foal. Also, I had the precisely same thing happen to me when last I was in Germany. (Not the miraculous flea market finds one, but the "Wie viel, bitte?" one.. I'd learn German real quick if every mistake I made were rewarded with the dumb stare I got then. "...Ein Paar." )

| [warning, this post contains a lot of pictures]Time to open up my old topic again Well, my day began quite well, ehem, thanks to my dear friend NS (Dutch railways) I was waiting for the train to start riding but there was a little issue and it turned out the train was able to move 20 minutes later… After a little calculation I thought I could just be able to arrive in time for my Design Sketching class (Our last assignment which should be completed in time and handed in for a mark) if the train could make up a few minutes from the time he had lost. But, because our train was late, we rode on a certain time at which some intercity trains always rode and we had to stop some extra time to wait for those trains to pass. In the end I ended up with a delay of 30 minutes which caused me to be 20 minutes late for class. One hour and 40 stressful minutes later I handed in my assignment and could celebrate the start of the weekend So I stepped in the train and arrived at the station at which I had to transfer to another train but I arrived at another platform then the one we should’ve arrived and also at 13:19 instead of 13:11. The train I should take next would leave at 13:21… And beside all that it appeared to that that train would leave from the platform I should’ve arrived at (are you still following me ). Anyway, I knew I wasn’t going to make it in two minutes so I didn’t run to catch the train but when I arrived at the platform the train wasn’t even there, but there were a lot of people waiting so it hadn’t already left. After a few minutes the train did come luckily and I entered the train. But, you can almost guess what happened, the train didn’t start its engines because of an AC failure. Only 20 or so minutes later we were moving and I got home being very happy with NS, and it isn’t even winter yet You might be wondering why I’m telling you all this Well, that’s because of the wonderful surprise the awaited me when I was finally home This wonderful package all the way from Finland (which hasn’t come by train I hope…) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I first read the letter which included a little letter.
