| For the October "Show us your" we have a topic about goats: domesticated and wild. Domesticated and wild goats belong to genus Capra, it includes following species: West Caucasian tur (Capra caucasica) East Caucasian tur (Capra caucasica cylindricornis) Markhor (Capra falconeri) Domestic goat (Capra hircus; includes feral goat) Bezoar ibex (Capra hircus aegagrus) Alpine ibex (Capra ibex) Nubian ibex (Capra nubiana) Spanish ibex (Capra pyrenaica) Siberian ibex (Capra sibirica) Walia ibex (Capra walie) I was surprised to not see some well known species on this list: chamois and mountain goat. These animals do not belong to Capra but they will have a special topic in SUY yet this month! Mountain goat is the only species in its genus: Oreamnos Two species of chamois belong to Rupicapra So, to start the topic I will show some of my figures. domesticated goats [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]From left to right: Britains billy goat, Jean Hoffler Nanny goat, Britains Nanny goat, Papo billy goat and Jean Hoffler again, in different colour. And ibexes: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Signatustudio Iberian Ibex and Preiser Alpine ibex No Mountain goats nor Chamois _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

These belong again to different genus. Perhaps we could change a bit this SUY and add all members of subfamily Caprinae except the genus Ovis because we already have SUY sheep? In such case we can include also Musk Oxen and Takins as well? But I don't know if it would be too wide for one SUY maybe? Dear admins and specialists, please help me to decide _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection
