| Prior fish are wonderful. Other than some Japanese sets, there's never been anything like them. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! | Nice! How well do they actually represent actual species? Is there a reference for them somewhere (TAI doesn't seem to have anything on them, at least not under Prior)? |

| Thanks, is there a species list somewhere?
The 'dolphin' has been a topic of much discussion, and some have suggested it's an ichthyosaur :) |

| Ah, I love the Prior and Azur fish- thanks for showing us them!
In many cases, I would call them good representation of their species- not to the level of gashapon, but easily identifiable. |

The 'dolphin' has been a topic of much discussion, and some have suggested it's an ichthyosaur :) oh yes it could have better been an itchyosaur! :) I have seen it referred to as Valentino. A bit of searching indicates that it's probably supposed to represent a bala shark... it's probably the biggest miss in the whole set no matter what it is _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! That's what I can recognize. From left to right: Some kind of wrasse, a four-striped barb (Puntius tetrazona), a gourami, some swimming crab (probably Callinectes sapidus), a probable butterflyfish (or at least painted like one), an Austrolebias, a red-tailed sharkminnow (Epalzeorhynchos bicolor), a pajama cardinalfish (Sphaeramia nematopterus), a fish I don't know, a killifish (splendid one!!!!), a moorish idol (Zanclus cornutus), another different butterflyfish, a Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens) and a goldfish (Carassius auratus). As you can see, most are freshwater fish (so not reef fish), some are not tropical and some are not fish I love that many of these species are very rarely represented in figure form (maybe unique) Sorry for not be very precise with IDS, that's all what I can say for memory, but probably some can be searched from this point. _________________ My collection:- (Details):

Nanochromis, Rasbora, Festae,, labeo bicolor, combattant,
Colisa, poisson clown, Chipokae, Botia, Ramirazi,
Balentio (?) Sumatra, Pfeffer, crabe, tortue, grenouille These IDS are all wrong, from what I can dedude from French names. These are the correct IDs: Henochius,: it could be really an Heniochus, shaped like one, but none have these colours. Painted like a Chaetodon. Scalaire, absolutely wrong, it's a moorish idol ( Zanclus cornutus), that is a marine fish. Freshwater angelfish ( Pterophyllum scalare) is only vaguely similar and is freshwater. Chaetodon, maybe, but which one? I don't know none with these design. poisson ange, clearly not an angelfish (Pomacanthidae), more likely a grunt (Haemulidae) Gourami, some artistic-licensed fish, not realistic, but as I stated before it's almost sure a wrasse (Labridae, marine) and for sure not a gourami (Osphronemidae, freshwater) poisson chirurgien, correct, is a surgeonfish (Acanthuridae) and almost sure Acanthurus leucosternon with unrealistic colours (should be blue not grey) Guppy, very wrong, it's very clearly a Siamese fighting fish ( Betta splendens), not a guppy ( Poecilia reticulata) Silure, correct (order Siluriformes) but which one? poisson japonais (!), as I said before is a Pajama cardinalfish ( Sphaeramia nematoptera), that can be indeed be found in Japanese water (like other 10000 different fishes!) Acare, this name suggest me and acara (Cichlidae, genus Acarichthys and allies), freshwater, it could be indeed a cichlid Nanochromis, very wrong, it clearly represents a cod or something related (Gadidae, big cold water marine fishes), not a Nannochromis (very small freshwater tropical fishes) Rasbora, wrong, this is what can be indeed a Nannochromis! Not a RasboraFestae,, I don't know what a "Festae" is, but the figure represents a butterflyfish, labeo bicolor, absolutely right! It's a red-tailed sharkminnow, Epalzeorhynchos bicolor (old synonym Labeo bicolor) combattant, very wrong, the Siamese fighting fish is the one they call "guppy". This one is a killifish (no idea of which one), that is muuuch more related with guppies (same order, Cyprinodontiformes) than is with perchlikes like the Betta! Colisa, correct, as I stated before it's a gourami, and Colisa is a genus of gouramis. poisson clown, Oh! With this one I failed! It's not a goldfish. Not with these fins! If I have seen before the individual painted like in this image probably I would not have failed. Well, it could be indeed a clownfish ( Amphiprion), tough not shaped very exactly like one. Chipokae, absolutely no idea of what this name means, neither of what this figure represents. Botia, very probably wrong, more likely a catfish, maybe Dianema longibarbe. Ramirazi, wrong, it's not Mikrogeophagus ramirezi, but as I said an Austrolebias (kind of killifish) Balentio (?), well, have been discussed in these posts, it's a dolphin or ichthyosaur, but for suuuuuure not a Balantiocheilus (bala shark) Sumatra, correct, Puntius tetrazona as I said before Pfeffer, well, it's probably a Paraluteres prionurus (or the mimic Canthigaster valentini), no idea of what the name "Pfeffer" means crabe, tortue, grenouille all correct despite how imprecise are these names. The crab is probably Callinectes sapidus as said before, the turtle is Trachemys scripta elegans and the frog is very generic, maybe it intend to be a natterjack or a green toad ( Bufo calamita or Bufo viridis). _________________ My collection:- (Details):

| The silure is Malapterurus, the electric catfish.
The 'botia' is a hoplo catfish, Megalechis _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection!
