Last week I got two very wonderful parcels from wonderful STS- friends

Nardien (TheLastStardust) insisted to send me a surprice, - just a little thing she said  
But look !!! She sent me the Safari Holstein calf !!!
This calf is very rare, - she was only made from 1992 - 1998

As you many have seen, Christophe ( Kikimalou) has been trading some of his goodies away lately.
I tried not to look, - but he had the blue whale from Invicta, and it has been on my wishlist for years

Christophe, - my part of the trade, - you have not yet told me where to send it

But being Christophe, he also included three glorious surprises, - two brands that I have never seen "in person" before : PRIOR and RAE

Yes, Really!

These first generation Safari figures are much less easy to find than we think. Most of them are true rarities, specially calves. It was the first calf sculpt for Wild Safari Farm that the company ever produced and belongs to the original collection introduced in 1992. In Safari Ltd terms, a museological piece.
I also live very much the Invicta blue whale, that's a gen and it is more interesting because it belongs to a collection of prehistoric creatures, people get always surprised with how large dinos were but none of the known dinos was larger than a blue whale and these sea giants are not yet extinct.

This morning, when I went over to care for the Canarie birds, the was a shoe box on the barrel where I keep the seeds  
The mailman had put it there yesterday, but I had not seen it    

The box was from Yvette, my wonderful fairy in Munich

Look, all five new "Müller" SE Schleich horses

And the lovely, little Trakehner foal, which was originally pinto, now for sale as chestnut with socks

The foal came with this magazine, which contains lots of ideas how to use the new horse-playsets, and two posters with - really nice

I know that others have already shown the SE horses, but here they from me also

The Trakehner mare with the funny neck and head, - I like the sooty chestnut colour .

The pinto stallion, - a nice detail is that they have made the mane/tail a little more creamy.
Pintos do not have creamy mane/tail, but in the field, they tend to be a little more dirty than the white on the body, so it is fine.

The pinto mare is beautyful as always, - and what is nicer than a bay pinto ?

The hanoverian in "Raven black". Quite a rare colour these days, when they have been crossed with thoroughbreds, but when I was young, and Hanoverians were big and heavy, most of them were black  
I LOVE this model , - even if the star and socks are a bit carelessly painted.

And here comes the quater horse  
Isn't this a gorgeous colour to a fine model ?
I think he is "Smoky-black", - genetically a black with one visible cream gene

Those are great additions, horses that are available for a very short time and that tend to get more and more expensive with time.
I like specially the Hanoverian, not only this particular one, I also like the standard version.

They are so lovely! The Trakehner mare in particular has a very beautiful colour.

Although I would say your Quarter Horse is a Champagne, probably a Classic Champagne, as Smoky Black is, in fact, undistinguishable from normal black. What the Cream gene does is discolour the red pigment and, since black horses have no red pigment, only black, their colour does not change, unless they are homozygous Cream. :)

+ the fact , that it comes from a wonderful person,
so this is a very special and very nice box, full of beautiful, positive feelings :)
