| Last week, spotted family got new member it's the retired suckling Knabstrupper colt. Surprisly I found store with six models to choose, so I could fortunately take one with minimum of rubs. Previously, I didn't like this foal at all, I don't know exactly why. Maybe his face seemed too long to me. Or maybe because his position itselfs looks strange. But it looks really great with the dam! They are very nice inseperable pair of figurines. _________________ I have two main passions: collecting and drawing animals Ars Animalium = Animal Art Ars Animalium on facebook I am Ars Animalium on Insta |

| I agree that this foal look strange without a mare but when it is together with his Mother, it turns in one of the most interesting foals Schleich released. |

| This week I was on a trip in Wien and I brought the Lipizzaner foal from Bayala Pferdehof magazin. I wanted some typical Austrian breed, I was thinking about the Haflingers. But then I got info about the magazin. And I realized that especially for Wien the Lipizzaners are even more typical, because of Spanish Riding School. I would like to thank to you, dear STSers, who posted the informations about magazin. :-) I don't like the braided mane at all. I know they sometimes do it also to foals, but I think it would look better with smaller and less braids. The last on its back is definitely over. I appreciate the paintwork, it's well done. The color is actually more dark brown like chocolate, the photo is bit reddish. I'm not at home now, I'm looking forward to introduce this little filly to other Lipizzaners. _________________ I have two main passions: collecting and drawing animals Ars Animalium = Animal Art Ars Animalium on facebook I am Ars Animalium on Insta

| Hello, last week I finally spent some days at home, so I could introduce my recent additions to the rest of my collection. And one special addition arrived I discovered new natural position for suckling Knabstrupp foal. (The first meeting with his little spotted uncle..well, the colt looks a bit frightened ) Like mother, like daughter: my Exclusive Lipizzaner mare and foal. And Lipizzaner broodmares with foals. And finally quite old figurine: 13263 Holsteiner foal, my first model purchased from another collector. Her belly says 2001, so she is my oldest foal. I am surprised how well sculpted this foal is. It looks much more like a living foal than most of recent foals. And she is in good condition, only few rubs (which I'm going to fix). She looks small and very young, compared to another chestnut foal - the Hanoverian colt. Also a way more realistic. I need a mother for this little orphan. (But I'm sure some of broodmare aunts will look after her ) _________________ I have two main passions: collecting and drawing animals Ars Animalium = Animal Art Ars Animalium on facebook I am Ars Animalium on Insta

| Congratulations and nice pictures! Don't be surprised that a 2001 Schleich figure looks better than their more recent counterparts. In 2001 Schleich was living gold days. I hope your foal gets a good Mom. |

| Oh, thank you very much, Rogério and Susanne Nice to hear you like my pictures. I'm honoured to put a smile on your face, Susanne. I discovered Schleich in 2004, and I remember my excitement. When I get the catalogue in my hand, the collecting started. And I was always looking forward to new releases, but now, I'm rather looking for the older ones. I hope I manage to get the Holstein mother. She is such a good model, with charm and personality, but hard to find (at least here in CZ). _________________ I have two main passions: collecting and drawing animals Ars Animalium = Animal Art Ars Animalium on facebook I am Ars Animalium on Insta |

| Hello, in August I spent amazing days in Berlin. And brought some souvenirs back with me I want something unvailable in my country, so I bought the horse care set with the new Friesian. And a hay + german catalogue. The little piggy is actually a gift for a friend, who works with animals and loves pigs, she wanna have a real one. This little girl is so cute, I'm definitely going to add her also to my collection one day. She looks so real compared to my old piglets, especially to the white one. Ready for the Friesian spam? There were lot of photos taken and words written, let me share some feelings from personal meeting. First, I was really excited that the sets were available in KaDeWe. But when I took him from the box, I had mixed feelings. The head is big and the neck is long for his slim body. I believe they wanted to make a modern sporthorse type of Friesian (lighter, with long neck), but in that case he should have also longer legs. And the head is still too big. What is shame, cause the head itself is beautiful, with nice details and proportions. And the waves of mane are well sculpted. His eyes aren't too big, he has nice expression. (it's hard to take photos of solid black horse) Here he is with the accessories, I also bought the hay, cause I love the idea of small accessories and they don't sell them in czech stores. And some comparison with the old Friesians I have. They look brown compared to him. His black is charming, but I must say I'm a bit dissapointed with the paintwork. Nice idea of matte mane and shiny coat, but it could be done more properly. There are quite big areas on the body, which remain matte. I mean, he has no spots, no airbrushing just solid colour, nothing complicated, so they could be more precise. After all, I got used to him quickly. Maybe he isn't perfect, but he definitely has a charm and personality. I'm thinking about calling him Bukephalos, cause he stands so proud and heroic. Thank you for your attention, ladies and gentlemen. _________________ I have two main passions: collecting and drawing animals Ars Animalium = Animal Art Ars Animalium on facebook I am Ars Animalium on Insta

| I can see what you mean with the neck and head - it seems like he is tipping a little bit forward, but still I think he is beautilful and a nice addition to the others. When I saw him in the catalouge I actually thought he looked a lot like the other stallion (13667), but with your pictures I can see he looks different in build. |
