Now you have the probably more difficult task of collecting a horde of Zulus or Arabs as opposition.

So you've already started to amass some hordes.

I know, bad isn't it. But as I say everything is for sale depending on price. I enjoy the hunt. Will be putting some items on the selling part soon. Just need to read up on any rules etc...

As Nick has started a thread on Britains lead Highlanders, I suppose I'd better add my collection of them. First up, an old box of Gordon Highlanders, with box's contents plus a few extras: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> Now a much later (circa 1960? - when Britains were making both lead and plastic soldiers) version of the same set of Gordons: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> Two Gordons in 1954-59 individual 'Picture Pack' boxes: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> And a few more marching Gordons, made 1950s or early '60s: [img] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][/img]

A side drummer and a selection of pipers. The smaller one on the left is a very early version. The piper on the extreme right with plain brown kilt is an Irish Guard piper, and the one just to the left of him is an early 1950s cheapo 2nd grade paint version: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> 2nd from left is a standard figure for size comparison. The big one on the left was probably mainly intended for export to the US, to fit in with US 'dimestore' soldiers. The 6 smaller highlanders are from one of Britains cheapo ranges, the 'W', for Woolworths, range. [img] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][/img]

| Lastly, some Britains lead highlanders in tropical helmets. Some Camerons, plus a Gordon officer. Note the two standing Cameron officers, oval base with moustache is early, square base, no moustache, is later: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]" /> Gordons. The standing firing figure came in the Picture Pack box.
