Figures. They didn't appear to be of Safari's quality (although they are definitely Safari's book's pictures!).
I suppose official release info is still yet to come. It's very OFFICIAL SWEETY! What is that supposed to mean? Were the photos posted by Safari? If not, then no, the released photos are not official. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! | Canada lynx, spoonbill, wallaby, mockingbird are surely in my wish list due to their interest as species. I'll probably also consider loorikeet, wombat, cassowary, red deer, yes, red deer, it seems very nobble with delicate antlers. I am quite positively surprised! I agree also with Andy, a uapiti and a red deer in the same range is surely completly unexpectable and Safari featured both species characteristics in a very good way. I also like the standing bears and a bonnethead shark is a fabulous idea. I was very curious about their new horses, it seems until now I am the first saying that I love their design. Full of action, far from toyish and with a remarkable vintage touch. Very Western like design reseembling somewhat their earlier horses from Safari Farm series but in a better version. About sharing here pictures, obviously when someone like Sean is asked to not share it until a permission is given, it is the correct decision and the first thing is to respect each company. I did the same with Mojö in previous years, never shared any picture or information until have permission to do it. But, it is also obvious that when pictures are already posted online somewhere and someone like Takama wants to share it with us, it is also a respectable decision, I believe nobody asked Takama to keep it in secret, mostly knowing it is not a secret anymore. It was always like that in every fora. So I want to thank everyone that share information with us and also to those that keep in touch with companies and reveal everything whenever information is officially presented. |

| I like the design of the horses too roger. Its very different than before, reminiscent of their old old figures, but more modernized. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. Apparently they've changed the horse sculptor. I'm especially interested in the grey Trakehner, looks quite promising :) And I really like the hippogriff, even though it looks a bit cartoonish _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Blog | Facebook |

Exactly! I am very curious, they're reusing product numbers to these horses, numbers are discontinuous and I've red about a new series... though it has the same series name. Will Safari restart with only 4 horses? |

| I just received a 2016 Safari ltd dealers catalog in the mail today straight from the company. There are more pictures and additional information inside. Finally I was able to see the new sharks. There is a megamouth, bonnethead and a new great white. The lynx is both stunning and gorgeous! It, along with the wombat is at the top of my wish list. I think it is a hairy nosed wombat but I am not sure about the species of the nice wallaby. It looks like the arsinoitherium will remain retired unfortunately. Also the wildlife wonders okapi is retired along with the sable antelope and white tigers so pick those up while you can. Overall a much better year than 2015 for safari ltd. I just wish they would retire a lot more of their older models. For example if there is a new moose family why keep the old moose current?

But I'm going to say it...3 toobs. A sports one (sport equipment), an "In the Woods" toob featuring re-issue figures, mostly from the North American, with a few from some other toobs (snake, butterfly, frog, grasshopper); and a "Nature" toob featuring...Reissued figures from the North American & Desert toob, with a few others (the cardinal from the BY birds).
That's it.
And the black&white bird is a re-painted Anhinga. More true to the bird's colours.
On the other hand...megamouth shark! Bonnethead shark!
That's it for the fish lovers... What a disappointment. |

I'm trying to find a way to make things better in the next few years...at the very least, getting some input to Safari which might help. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! Thanks Bojan, it is funny to see a red deer being used as a reindeer. This may not be true in other countries but in the US it is common to see alot of "stag" type deer statues for christmas decor, not just reindeer/caribou. Think the Papo Stag but in statue form basically (although many are just one solid color). Isn't it supposed to be a red deer as well? So in that way it would make sense I think. Definitely a nice figure from them either way though,he'll go well with the Elk. The ducking is so sweet looking too, I bet that would be a good seller at Easter. |

So yeah, a little smaller than we've become accustomed to with the dinos. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! | So safari posted another strange blog thing for the holidays. It shows some good photos of their new figures. And based on how this went last time, there should be another video by friday if history repeats. |
