2015 CollectA Orangutan

Hello, I want to present the 2015 CollectA Orangutan model.

Information about the material :
it is harder then most of the CollectA models

My opinion :
Nice model with interesting posture,
nice details and nice enough paintwork, just the shadows on the coat are to dark for me :)
I`m happy with him :)

As you say, the pose is great ! And I love thw wisdom in his face

Yes, shades ! I do NOT like shading on a model. It should not be neccessary .
And it looks wrong if the light comes from the front...well that is only my opinion

The shades are a bit too dark indeed but it is a very interesting figurine, I like the unusual pose and the face seems very detailed.

I like the figure. There's a lot of detail and the furry effect is very interesting. I am not sure about proportions being correct but the general about the figure is very positive. Is the Papo orang confuse about the gender of its partner?

I absolutely agree with you Susanne :)
Sometimes is nice to make shades with painting, but in a clever way...like for example Breyer is doing this excellent.
But the Collecta Orangutan is a good example for too naivety made shades :)

How tall is he in centimeters? (I don't have the Papo one)

It is 8 cm from the head and 10 cm from the up hand. 11cm from hand to hand :)

I like that the new orang is more "slender" than the Papo one, and is not smiling :)
By the way, Kosta, did you try to put him on a tree model? Does it fall down or fit on a branch?

I don`t have a tree models...
but now I used my finger as a branch and no, it doesn`t fall down
