Largest animal in my collection...

Time to break all rules regarding the figure size...   Large Ertl elephant just arrived...

The tusks have not very natural look but I like this figure........

How large Jarda? I can't see any mention to a scale in the package, maybe the Wilds of Africa series have no scale.
Some interesting info however, it cames with stickers, it is for ages 6 and up instead of the usual 3 and up and now you think like you're on a Safari! Congratulations, that's a nice figure and thanks for sharing!

Very interesting :) And i think you know my next question - have you any other species of this serie?
I know also leopard, zebra and rhino.
But i saw now a leopard and he looks really really to huge for my zoo :)

@_Roger: The figure is 25-17-9 cm, the weight close to 2 kg (it´s very heavy figure), the original box 30-20-11,5 cm. The WoA figures are not in scale.

@_Andreas: There are 6 animals: Elephant, rhino, kudu, leopard, gorilla and zebra.

The animals on the box are NOT exactly the same as the figures are. I like the zebra and kudu as well but these are stil too big for my collection. I think the leopard, rhino and gorilla can be better...

@_NightLioness: I got no stickers etc., only the figure in mint condition in the original box. Here is the comparison with CollectA Asian Elephant, Britains African Elephant (cow) and Jeol Elephant (cow). I have no Schleich or Mojo Elephants in my collection because I don´t like these (too big heads etc.).

@_ken yeo: I doubt there is website for this set, it is long time retired one from 1997.

@_costicuba: I got the figure on E-Bay. Prices are between 10-40 USD but postage from USA to Europe is very expensive (large and heavy figure). When I calculated the shipping fee, I seriously thought about throwing away the package instead of pay for sending overseas!
I just found no gorilla on E-Bay but if you use the phrase "Ertl Wilds of Africa", you will find any shortly.

@_Susanne: I wrote the dimensions in answer to Roger, the elephant is about 17 cm tall, see the comparison image. It is retired one hard to get in Europe. The zebra is too big for me but very nice! You can get one from E-Bay but check the postage carefully!

I already checked the Ebay and yes, there is no Gorilla now.
But I saw the zebra, rhino and leopard..  
They are all from US.
I saw also in Google , real photos of these animals (gorilla also) and they are nice,
but except the elephant, they don`t look that nice with the paintwork like from the photos on the box :)
But still they look realy nice :)

Many thanks for providing info and comparison pictures. This is a collection from 1997 as you pointed, incredible how active was the animal toy industry in these years... mainly in USA. The also jumbo sized Vanishing Wild from Safari were living their best days with the introduction of the gemsboks in their range. Safari Ltd was starting their Wild Safari series that are the juice of their current range. Wild Republic had also many jumbo sized animals along with the best tube sized figures they ever made from bulk series. Play Visions was expanding widely their collection... there are more but just enough now.

Greater kudu is marvelous.

What material are? resin or pvc .
