| What I really want to get from 2011 new figures: 1.Schleich Kudus!!! 2.Papo lioness!! 3.Schleich badgers 4.Schleich foxes 5.Schleich Dartmoor Stallion 6.CollectA manatees box 7.Papo Elephant with baby 8.Papo Yak 9.Safari Ltd White Rhino 10. Safari Ltd American Badger I've already bought the wolverine and Arctic fox from Schleich :) Arctic Fox is better than I though, it is very nice figure! I like pose and texture and even this very new kind of paint which is like pearlescent or something. But from wolverine I expected more, I mean I like it, but it could be better. I don't know, maybe face could be more detailed and tail a little bit longer than it is. But in general I like both new models! :) I'm waiting for kudus (!!!) and also for buffaloes. Although buffaloes are not on my top 10 list first because in my opinion Papo buffalo is much better, second because of it's texture which is, in my opinion too furry(!!). I like calf much more and I will surely buy it soon. I will buy adult too-buffaloes like herds :) . (I hope next year schleich will make female-calf needs mother :) and maybe mum buffalo would be in grazing pose. But this is not right topic to post this kind of thinking :) ) What is not as fine as I wished-the lesser kudu by Safari. In my opinion it doesn't remind real lesser kudu, especially shape of body and legs. Legs are 5 times too thick I know, we may say the same about Schleich gazelle but additionally I don't really like the painting job. I want also buy the Torak set with bear from Schleich, I like the pose of this new bear very much :) Also I like all new rabbits but none of new cats from Schleich. |

| Thanks for sharing your expectations, Ana! And you know, I always like the sharp estimates and remarks you make about various figures. Like this time - about the "pearlescent" paint or the wolverines's details. - ana wrote:

I share the same hope! A buffalo female, and in the grazing pose exactly! Although, seeing how Schleich is lingering with a much-needed ostrich mother, I don't give very high chances for a buffalo cow grazing in the nearest future... _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! Hi Kiryuha :) I'm happy You like the idea of grazing buffalo female :) But about pearlescent paint-it was about Arctic fox paint!!! It has something like that, well I don't know if made in Germany versions have it too, but mine-made in China-have this kind of paint. It's very much like snow surface, I'm not sure if it makes figure more realistic but I like it :) But did they took this kind of paint from Elves' line? I don't know |

But what do you mean saying that you only collect Schleich? You don't buy any animal figures by other brands? Why then? I'm curious _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! | 13 people have shared they votes to the moment, and I'd like to sum up intermediate results - the whole picture becomes more and more clear :) I've counted only mentions with no regards to places,as not all the people put their Top-10s in decreasing order. Also, I've counted only wildlife figures and if a person wrote "kudu + calf" I count it as a single kudu"two-figure piece". So, here we go: 1. Papo Mandrill - 10 votes (inevitable leader!). 2-4. Safari Capybara - 7 votes Schleich Kudu - 7 votes Schleich Badger - 7 votes 5. CollectA Manatee - 6 votes 6. Bullyland Lammergeier - 5 Then there are ten figures with 4 votes each: Papo Young Lioness, Papo yak, Papo Bactrian camel, Papo Asian Elephant; Safari Indian Rhino, Safari bobcat, Safari American badger; Schleich Cape Buffalo, Schleich Wolverine; CollectA Snow Leopard. Please, those who'd like to take part and haven't voted yet - share your expectations! Our survey would be more representative if we have 20-30-50... respondents. I think, if we have Top-10s from at least 40 people, we can share the results via Facebook, for example, and present it as the survey of 20% audience of the most influential forum. _________________ Owners of miniature zoos on shelves, unite! | I think we can already sum up the results of this little survey, as more and more 2011 figures come to our hands and we can evaluate them properly – but that would be another story…
So, 17 people have shared they votes so far, and the whole picture is more or less clear. I've counted only mentions with no regards to places, as not everyone put their Top-10s in decreasing order. Only wildlife figures were counted and if a person wrote "kudu + calf" I count it as a single "two-figure piece". Here is our Top-9: 1. Papo Mandrill - 12 votes (inevitable leader!). 2. Schleich Kudu – 7.5 votes (lucky luke voted for the kudu calf only, so it has 0.5 more) 3-6. Bullyland Lammergeier – 7 votes Safari American badger – 7 votes Safari Capybara - 7 votes Schleich Badger - 7 votes 7-9. CollectA Manatee - 6 votes Safari Indian Rhino - 6 votes Schleich Wolverine - 6 votes
