| THIS is a fell pony As in many Breyers, the muscles are somewhat idealised, but still a fine spicture of this styrdy-elegant little, hardy worker from the mountains. How big is he, please ? I still remember the first time I saw one being trained , it is indeed a very special, little horse, that will stand out among others And I still remember dthe sad feeling when I saw what Schleich made out of them : a cute, little thing Thankyou for the beautyful pictures, LeeAnn |

| Haha he is s Moody, so he is more of a stylized piece than a realistic model. But I still love him. He's small Traditional, about the size of Bouncer or Misty. I can measure him for you |

| I like it, accurate or not it is a very nice looking piece. Mrs. Emma is epic like a Friesian and proud like a Fell pony! |

| I think it looks to boring in that colour. And just in general, the tail looks more thick and heavy than I like, and blocky. But give me a colour like these, then I'm happy Both of these are made by Deb Brown. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Despite not being a big fan of Kathleen Moody's style, I like this one. I think it'd look lovely as a pony sized Irish Cob. _________________ Lythrum Collection Model horses and other figures

| Yeah I don't mind her, she's quite a cute character but I do think TheSpottedCat is right in saying some different colours would look even nicer on this mould, that second pinto colour is stunning! |

But she is a Fell pony.... and as far as i know - correct me when I am wrong- .... they are black, just like the Friesian..... and they are boring sometimes but they are black and there is only one black... maybe next year we will have the same molt but different colour and then it will be a Tinker/Gypse vanner or something like that.... |

| It's an interesting walk around and nice photos LeeAnn, thank you for sharing. I think this model shows the breed characteristics very well. But for some reason, this sculpting style is not really appealing to me. I think his head is missing some details, it's too plain. I like the pose and the way the feathers and mane are sculpted, nice! _________________ Anna Horse and Bird studio - Horse sculptures My model horse collection

| Black horses can also have some shading or dapples, or being sun bleached [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

That is so true !!! Complely, 100 % black horses still have some shading , - I know that often the owners rub them with some kind of black wax when showing them, or having their pictures taken |

No, Fell ponies can be black, bay, brown and grey. Chestnuts and pintos are barred from breeding and cannot be registered. They can have a little white in the form of a small star or a white hind fetlock, but excessive white is frowned upon. - From the Fell Pony Breed Standard If you get a pinto pattern painted on this mold and you either photo or live show it, then you'll have to find either a breed or a cross which would explain the build and coloring. The conformation is a little light for a purebred Tinker/Gypsy, but could be a crossbred. |

| These photos are absolutely gorgeous! I had just received this model for an Easter gift. This is a major holiday for my family, so this makes her all the more special to me. She is my first Breyer in a long time.
I actually love the Kathleen Moody sculptures. Regrettably, I don't have nearly as many as I would like, but their artistry and dynamism makes them my first choices among Breyer animals. This one definitely shows off her style very nicely. |
