| I have looked very much forward to the new "ocean" playsets here in 2016, and am very happy to have got the set with the eel Well, not big art and not very impressive, but it touches my inner play-child in some way [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Look : This is how it looks at night [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Before assembly, - strangely enough there are four holes, but only three chorals. I tried to fit the eeel into one, but he wasn't cooperative at all [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The eel may be either a baby or...a Schleich big-head eel [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]You can see the other sets here : Coral fish : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Purple octupus : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Wobbegong : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

| I keep thinking that these sets are very interesting and give a new perspective to this hobby. This kind of sets were obviously not invented by Schleich but as a big company, they can promote this idea and explore a new world of less common creatures and present themm to kids and collectors in an inventive way. I suspect it is a moray eel, Gymnothorax moringa, but there are lots of spotted morays so I may be wrong. Thanks for your presentation, it helps us to have a much better impression of this set. |

| It reminds me of the newerboa--whhy did they carve the pattern into the skin, instead of painting?
Eels should be scaleless and smooth, not rough and textured. _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! | Great new set, I look forward to getting some of them too sometime. The only downside to me is already mentioned, I would've rathered smooth skin and better paint job, but lovely nonetheless! _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | I also can't see them now but I have seen them before. Poor Susanne, I hope it is not one of these Photobucket weird things, I don't know if it still happens but it seems that when we move a gallery on photobucket, we loose the original forum codes. |

| Thanks Susanne for taking your time to recover all pictures in this topic. I was trying to guess once I refuse to use Photobucket, I only tried it a few times to try to reply to some Photobucket questions on forum. I used IMGUR during a long time, now I use postimage.org. :) |

| Nice set, even if I agree about the texture. This is the kind of things that prevent me to buy the anaconda for example... Too weird! |

Exactly--I have the rattlesnake and cobra, but the boa (and eel) are just so wrong _________________ I used to have an online store, but now it's a Blog exploring the variety in my collection! | The boa Of course It is too bad because the two other snakes are really fine The last years were really a "too much texture" adventure for Schleich. |
