| With two turtles, Papo forget to produce a Hare, their "natural" competitor. So La Fontaine can sleep quietly now . Hares... Hares are not rabbits but, like them, they aren't rodents but lagomorphs. Lagomorphs differ from rodents in that the former have four incisors in the upper jaw (not two, as in the Rodentia) and have enamel on the front and back side of the incisors, whereas rodents only have enamel on the front side. Also, lagomorphs are almost strictly herbivorous, unlike rodents, many of which will eat both meat and vegetable matter. They resemble rodents, however, in that their incisor teeth grow continuously throughout their lives, thus necessitating constant chewing on fibrous food to prevent the teeth from growing too long. Ok... And now let me show you Glamour, the kohl-rimmed eyes hare |

| I like your introduction, if there is a fact that most of us know that hares and rabbits are not rodents, it is common to see, even in some websites, people mixing them. I was somewhat curious about that figure, I like very much its pose although I was not expecting to see a walk around of it from you. I remember seeing your old website with leporidae section almost empty. About the pose again, Papo seems once more inspired in vintage figures, we can see somewhat similar poses in Jean_Höfler, Vitacup or Marolin figures! Thanks for presenting it to us, Christophe! |

| I must say, this is one very cute hare! I love both it´s position and it´s eyes. It certainly reminds me of the cautious nature hares have! _________________ "Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin naal ok zin los vahriin wah dein vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal! | This hare somehow reminds we of Watership Downs animated hares, Hazel or some other light colored hares. Love the eyes, they have a great expression.
Can you do a comparison with old Papo hare and some Schleich? :3

Yes, I'm not a collector Rogério... But I'm also a father who love to make walkarounds I agree with the vintage touch', that's one of the things I love in Papo models... Delicious frills ( can't find an emoticon ) - Iuri97 wrote:

Mine is standing in the front row on the piano and brings me joy whenever I look at him

I had no idea ! Actually it is completely new to me, - I have to re-arrange a paradigm in my head now I knew I would help someone on STS , Rogério is an optimistic croc "The Lagomorph is on the Piano" could be a very nice title for a thriller movie. - donny ong wrote:

Thank you Donny, I also prefer Susanne's hare, life is hard sometimes |

| A father's walk around? That's a great point of view! I also have only 3 lagomorph species, those that Schleich released, brown hare, European rabbit and mountain hare, one or another more from other company but still poor in terms of diversity. The Eikoh Amami seems a good future addition for me once despite Kaiyodo being more realistic, I am not still too much into puzzle figures. No Arctic hare strangely. Though, this last, will be released by a major company soon or later. I am glad to know that your introduction was helpful to Susanne, I also never told it was useless, it is easy to think that rabbits, hares, hedgehogs, moles, shrews, are rodents so it is never too much to remember that they're not. |

| The Eikoh anami rabbit seems very nice, nevertheless the Kaiyodo Natural Treasure one isn't a puzzle But the price isn't the same I guess My Arctic hares are the odd Lian Huat Hang vampire twins And I'm more than happy with the CollectA european hare About my intro, it was really irresistible to read your comment and just after Susanne's post, the kind of things I love so much to catch |

| I almost bought this hare, but I had to make a choice... Now, after seeing your walkaround again, I regret that I did not buy the hare >.< Maybe I will encounter it again, and I will surely buy it then!! _________________ ~Karin~
