| So far, these are all figures by SeaWorld I have found. [size=16] Kosta, I also have since many years an little dolphin by SeaWorld in my collection. It´s perhaps from an flea market or from an Ebay lot, I don´t know it. Here it is. Now I am curious to see your SeaWorld figure. | All the new models are very nice , I also like the bottlenose dolphins and the manatees. But I also like very much the hammerhead shark :) - 75senta75 wrote:

I think my model ( which I will show) is maybe from `90 ... Still it`s a small mystery, but my resurch gave me this idea.. :) It is made from hard plastic ( like Invicta models). I got it from Ebay last year. I hope soon I will find time to make photos :) |

And here is the logo of SeaWorld . Actually this is the old logo they used to have maybe in `90... We can see that because of this ``W``, which is different now.

This information and also some other details from my resurch, gave me the idea that this model is from `90. Of course I`m still not 100% sure. I tried to find this model somewere on internet, but I couldnt... But on Ebay I found something else, which actually helped me.
These photos are from Ebay seller, who had this Castagna - resin model of Walrus and with info of the year: 1991

As you can see, it is the same mold , which makes me think, that maybe the company SeaWorld bought the rights to use it from Castagna.
Kosta, many thanks for this wonderful and informative walkaround. The walrus is really pretty. Your research is very impressive. The logos are very similar. As you suspect, this walrus could be a reference to Castagna and I agree with you, perhaps SeaWorld use the rights by Castagna. Now we have a very good overview: The modern logo version by SeaWorld for a current figure which is available now in the gift shops. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Original logo version for an figure by Castagna. It´s not my figure. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Walrus from Kosta by SeaWorld, same mold as figure by Castagna. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] My older dolphin by SeaWorld. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] several years ago STS member Steve170 introduced an older dolphin: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Here you can find more informations about CASTAGNA [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ...and "Castagna" is the part with animal figures [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Here is the section dogs and cats: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Compare at at Ebay please: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] So far, that´s the current state of play, perhaps we will find soon more parts of the mystery of SeaWorld animals. _________________ Yvette

| Some of the models aren't too bad, but others... I have seen some of their orca models, you would think that a company that keeps these animals in tanks would know what they look like Hm. maybe it's just because I don't like SeaWorld. |
