| This is an intriguing figure, but it yet again overlaps with a Safari release this year. It is also very similar to the old Schleich model, albeit much improved.
I'm not sure who is responsible for copying who, but it does seem very deliberate at this point. Personally, I don't see it as a good move for business since all it does is saturate the market and makes it so that half the clientele doesn't buy your figure. I hope both companies will branch out a bit more next year so we can see much more diversity. |

I don't think there is one company who copied the other and I'm sure they don't share their secrets to each other. Two Kronosaurus this year? This kind of things happened. Safari ltd and CollectA aren't sold in the same shops and even countries so most people will have no choice and even no Kronosaurus at all. |

To be perfectly fair, one of the three overlapping species this year ( Einiosaurus) was actually held over from last year. The second of them ( Deinocheirus) is really just an enlarged and slightly reposed version of the one from this year,so that's hardly a new one. _________________ John

I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now, but in addition to three overlapping dinosaurs, there's also two Bashkir Curlies and two Albatrosses released within very close timelines. I would hate seeing good companies resort to this as much as anyone, but it could be a possibility. We'll just have to wait and see what happens. |

Indeed I was talking about kronosaurus, but it is the same for Einiosaurus. I didn't talk about albatrosses, pangolins, okapis... We know this kind of waves. I don't say companies are not "inspired" by others productions, I only think we can't say that when models are produced the same year.
