I've got this good news from Collecta :
"A new and updated deluxe model of the favourite Iguanodon that was named in 1825 by Dr Gideon Mantell and was the second dinosaur to be identified and given a name. The reason for the conical thumb spike is not known but it has been suggested that it was used in feeding or defence. It was a herding animal and is often found together with Mantellisaurus, so the two models may be put together in dioramas."

Please will you tell me why you think so I am such an ignorant about dinos, - I think this one is beautyful, but looks a lot like other iguanodon-models

well, it's just my subjective opinion, don't take it too seriously .
this is the first time i don't dislike a dino made by collecta. they usualy put some nice effort into accuracy, but not too much into the paintjob. and the sculpt detail is far under papo's level.
but this time, they come with a decently looking iguanodon, at least that's what i see in this promotional pic.

Life is hard, with all the nice models around these days
Indeed it is. Especially when self-space is running out

Iguanodon really needed a good update and they took it seriously. The quadrupedal stance and the improved hands are two important improvements of this version, I guess. Personally I find iguanodon quite uninteresting creatures but that's my personal taste. Obviously they have the right of being replicated. I'd get a megalosaurus instead.

The teasers for the 2018 prehistoric animals are only about halfway through now,so you never know what is still left to be revealed. When it comes to CollectA,nothing can really be counted out,not even Megalosaurus.

When we start watching this video, we would never suspect how great this figure is. Much closer is the image, more impressed we get. The level of detail is amazing and it surely rivals with Papo dinos. Considering the expression is fortunate and that the figure is scientifically correct, we can tell we're seeing a masterpiece here. Iguanodon is surely not among my favorite dinos but I can't be neutral to what CollectA did here.
