COLLECTA 2018: DINOSAURS - 88818 - Ceratosaurus with Movable Jaw - Deluxe 1 by 40 scale

CollectA keeps sticking to the warrior face paint when it comes to their dinosaurs.
And more power to them!

It looks to me a very competent sculpt. Not as spectacular as REBOR but more fluid, I guess. The painting is always subjective and it is not easy to find interesting patterns to so many prehistoric creatures whose real colors were unknown. Though this is one these figures that surely could work better if they were not even painted.

Finally! A Ceratosaurus that actually looks right!
It's very well done,a must have for me!

What I like the most is the base here, joking aside, it allows the animal to have standard feet and not "clown shoes". I know a lot of collectors don't like figurines with basis but, for me, it is often the only good solution to make realisitc bipedal animals.

My knowledge of theropods is microscopic, so I take y'all's word for it, that it is a great model.
But the paintwork is ...hmmm...the colour of the face , and that of the body are not my cup of tea

Hilarious Halichoeres ... This is trade mark collectA but it's an excellent sculpt and however the paint I think it's the best sculpt of this species in a large scale .. the details of the limbs and skull are cool ... A good therapod ..I like the bases but i hope the figure isn't as heavy that it starts warping on legs like the feathered T. Rex
