"mint" means perfect condition Congratulations more fabulous finds!! Thanks Henriette ! My son tought me these funny acronyms like MINT, NIB, NRFB, MIB, so I thought it was only me who didn`t know them before In German they have an acronym that sounds like fine brandy VSOP or something, - as far as I know it means either that it is in original package or that the packageing has never been opened, I never discovered when it it wich _________________ SUSANNE |

This one is the only horse that is not in my collection. Okay, Sylvia, we'll have to help you find one that is to your liking! Thank you so much^^ I got him!!!!! I had a look in internet to see if anyone was selling one. And yes! It was not really cheap, but untill now I´ve always seen it for 55 or more euros, really expensive; so it was cheap. In addition the shipping cost are truly cheaper that the others. Now I only have to wait until its arrival... I can´t wait!! _________________ Visit my collection gallery at http://sylobe.deviantart.com/gallery/26714361

| Subject: The variation foal arrived! Thu Sep 22, 2011 11:14 am | |
| Maybe you remember my topic https://sts-forum.forumieren.de/t3066-nothing-important-just-wanted-to-commentWell, the package has just arrived few minutes ago :) And inside it there were 2 amazing color variations ^^ First, the foal I wanted! The 13619 Knabstrupper foal in a darker coat. The one I already had is the foal on the left, the "new" one is the one on the right: And the other variation, the 13650 quarter horse. Once again, the "new" one is the horse on the right. The difference is not as big as in the foals, but you can see that mine (the one on the left) is a chestnut varnish roan and my new one is more like a solid blanket bay: I know many of you are not very used to horses coats and genetics, so I´m going to give some explanations in order to make you easier to see the differences: Varnish roan is kind of roan similar to "normal" roan, but normal roan is visible in all the body+neck, and varnish is deppending on the horse. Varnish roan only expresses if Leopard gene is present. It doesn´t mind if Leopard is active or not (which depends on some other genes combination), so we can see varnish roan in mottled and non-mottled horses. Another big dofference between roan and varnish roan is that a roan horse is born with the roan pattern and it doesn´t change along time whereas varnish acts more like gray, the foal is born without the varnish roan pattern and it appear and get louder when the horse ages. So both Schleich horses have an appaloosa genotype Ok, some pics as examples of what I said. A pair of varnish roan on non-mottled horses (not showing Leopard): Now, some roans: And now, some solid blankets: I hope I didn´t bored you so much! _________________ Visit my collection gallery at http://sylobe.deviantart.com/gallery/26714361

| Oh, I forgot to say: the horses I already had (foal and stallion on the left) are made in China, the "new" foal is made in Germany and the "new" stalion is made in Portugal :) _________________ Visit my collection gallery at http://sylobe.deviantart.com/gallery/26714361
