A small walkaround of the Asian Elephant from S&N

This little model actually has become quite dear to me  
In a quiet way she has lots of charm, and her proportions are quite nice  

This is Nellie, as I call her for some reason :

I like the long legs, - this is rarely seen in models :

Also, the trunk has a realistic length, - they do have long trunks... do you remember Kipling's story of the reason ?

The tail also has the right length :

Nice tag, - this way parents can actually tell the children what kind of elephant it is already when they look in the shops

Compared to the latest Schleich female Asian Elephant . Perhaps Nellie is a youngster ?

I can't remember another model where the eyes are so beautyfully painted

Your observations are very interesting! The first "touch" is not very exciting but, if we look carefully, there are some really positive points in that figure, mainly considering the represented species is an Asian elephant. Though, those you already pointed out and your great photographs illustrate it perfectly.
Science and Nature in its new adventure, still inside of Australia but now in a Zoo.
