The mighty LINEOL Asian elephant: A walkaround by Kikimalou

after I showed you the Bullyland asian elephant, I couldn't wait more to share some pics of the old LINEOL one.
Created in 1938, this hughe 1/20 elephant is still IMHO the king of all.

Yes it is hughe and mighty... But that's what an elephant is !

Real truth, it is a 1/20 Asian elephant and that's the kind of animals who gave me some problems when I began to collect some Schleich. When you have the habit to own that kind of stuff you are unable to look at the Schleich without seeing the scale problem

What a fantastic model, I love the size as well, I'll have to find one for myself. Thanks for the photo and info.

What more can i say about the old Lineol models...
Only that is many cases they are still the best!
Sorry for the Schleich scale lovers(and i do collect them too by the way...)

It is at the SCHLEICH 1/20 scale ! The problem is the SCHLEICH elephant aren't at the SCHLEICH 1/20 scale

Yes i know Christoph.
I still don't understand why Schleich doesn't make such big animals in the right scale.
It can't be a problem for the selling price, as people do buy the bigger dino's and whales too...

Yeah, I wish they did. I mean if Safari can make their Wildlife Wonders elephant, I don't see why Schleich can't make bigger models.

SAFARI did it, BULLYLAND did it and PAPO and SCHLEICH still want to sale us some Pygmy elephant...

Ok ok, the Papos are 1/32... But the SCHLEICH are still strange pygmy elephant or perhaps they are some very rare specimens of the Chubbylephants
