Kosta is getting wonderful models from a generous friends :)

I am starting a new topic for a new year

Actually I will start with 8 models, which I got at the end of 2017..
and guess who is my German Santa ... ?

Yes, Yvette of course

I bought two lovely, old Lineol models from her,...but they were with so generous prices, that easily I can count them like a presents

Here they are,
a great Hippo and wonderful Tiger :

The Lineol Hippo is based on a real animal, lived in Berlin Zoo. His name was Knautschke.
And the great artist made this one is A. Caasmann :

But being Yvette, she surprised me with real gifts ..
I also got from her these two lovely Invicta models :

My first ever Invicta model was also from Yvette. The wonderful Mammoth :)

And then, a bit before New Year , a big box came again from my German Santa
Yvette decided that my collection of Invicta models have to grow very fast....and with some of the biggest models

She offered me all of them for so less money ...again almost like a gift :)

Yvette a santa Claus? Seriously I never had a single gift from Santa Claus, someone told me it was my parents who paid for the toys... Yvette is far better than Santa Claus, she is alive and her gifts are true gifts, Hurray for her and her kind of magic.

So what about the models?

The two Lineol are so beautiful with a rich flavour of Childhood, elegance and adventure. I feel like a little boy when I look at them, I want to play in a mysterious jungle far from here.

The Invicta are of course outdated but they are so beautiful, elegant too and they are even better when they are all together, it is the signature of a great brand. It gives me the same feeling than a Clairet collection, a kind of piece of art. I try to resist to this addiction

And then they are from one great person to another great person  What more can one wish for ?

That's a fantastic start of the year! You've got a vintage tiger in a striking pose, the most beautiful hippo of ever and a big part of a remarkable collection of dinosaurs. We are really very fortunate of having Yvette on STS. She either give us wonderful figures or sell them for almost symbolic prices. We all know that these figures you are presenting, wroth really a lot, they are very wanted collectibles and the German fairy could easily get a lot of money with them. But she'd rather make her STS friends happy.
About the Invicta line, whichever is the way of researching and finding complete new evidences of how dinosaurs looked like, that Invicta series will eternally remain as one of the most charismatic series of ever. It is a 3D book about the subject in its own time.

I always loved the Safari African wild dog , but because I`m still a young collector, I didn`t get chance to buy the Pup ... it is retired since 2011... and these days it is very hard to find model.
But Susanne was keeping one ... maybe she knew , that I will need it one day   ... lucky me

Kosta, I am really glad that after all this time these figures could reach Bulgaria and please you. They're not masterpieces but they are interesting enough to grab our atention. Some nice species and also a few good ones.
